Don't really see us signing a possible starting OT until after the draft (some veterans will likely be released when other teams draft OT's).

In an ideal world, w/o reaches, I hope we come out of the 1st 2 rounds with:

1. Franchise QB
2. OT
3. CB or WR

I would expect QB at 2 and I think Peters could move back into the end of the first round to grab a Tackle.

Get that fifth round option and a better prospect rather than wait in the second.

That makes one of us. I didn't expect to read that!

Peters knows how to play the game properly. Lol at Trent Scott actually starting a game at LT outside of catastrophic injuries. Lucas is actually OK in a pinch for injuries, but he's not starting 17 games.

I think they could move up as far as 13 to get a tackle.

I can only imagine he is giving depth guys a vote of confidence.

I would hope they don't need to move up that far, that would be expensive.

a 10 year left tackle to protect the rookie qb is worth the draft capital. This is the year to get both the QB and the LT.

Re: O-Line Rebuild - Adam Peters Style

Could Lucas be decent at LT? Honestly when I’ve watched him play it…him and Leno seemed pretty interchangeable.

Both seem like pass pro is their strength…run blocking, both lacking.

I dunno, I’m not as worried with a new scheme. And the worst blocking TE in the league off the team. So if kliff plays 12 personnel like he did at AZ, then Ertz and Sinnot or Bates can stay in and help

Am I crazy? I don’t think the rookie tackle is out there right off the bat, he will have to learn and hopefully surprise to get serious pt.

I agree with you, I don't think there is big difference between Lucas and Leno. I cannot even remember a game where Lucas played badly whenever Leno was sidelined.

he was way better than leno when he played there last year . . . always seemed serviceable there.

Kliff used a lot of 11 personnel in AZ

Don't remember who said it but someone in the media said Lucas is a solid player who on occasion gets embarrassed badly. That seems like a good description to me. Most of the time I don't notice him for getting beat, but when he does get beat, he gets beat bad.

That sounds more like Wylie to me.

Re: O-Line Rebuild - Adam Peters Style

Does anyone think both OT positions will not be priority number 1 and 2 this offseason? Maybe CB and / or S will be up there but I think both OT positions will be 1 and 2/3 as far as glaring holes after this year. That is worrisome going into this year. Can Kliff do damage control with scheme? Sure. Well …. Hopefully, but anyone who is convincing themselves that we will be A- ok is probably in for a rude awakening.
