Amen. I wish they hadn't given Smith a new contract.

I agree Moss is not the guy now. If not Banks, how about Paul? He's shown some amazing speed on special teams.
i really want moss as primary punt returner this year (assuming he's not 1 of 2 starting wrs). def not as kick returner though, he's only returned 2 in his career, keep it that way.

robinson would be my first choice for kicks, if he makes the team

Anyone notice in the video how Moss was almost tackled by Devin Thomas just after the catch? I really don't miss that guy -- not even a little bit.

Thomas was too busy last season, engaging in some of the same behavior that got the Saints in hot water.

Kyle Williams Concussions: Giants Targeted 49ers Player Due To Previous Head Injuries - "He's had a lot of concussions," said Devin Thomas, who recovered both fumbles. "We were just like, `We gotta put a hit on that guy.'"

And Thomas got a SB ring. There is no justice.

Terrence Austin can certainly be a difference maker for the Redskins offense. The fact that he's a seventh round pick doesn't mean anything. If Victor Cruz can go undrafted and have a monster year for the Giants, then Terrence Austin can do the same thing for the Redskins. Perhaps coaching was the reason why Austin hasn't done much since the Redskins drafted him.

Cruz and Terrence Austin shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence. For just a game in the preseason VC had 6 catches for 145 yds and 3 TDs. Terrence Austin hasn't had anything close to that in regular or preseason. TA final numbers in his whole career is 15 catchs for 184 yds and 0 TDs. TA needs some TD's before he's even thought of in the same sentence as Cruz.

Re: Shanahan Tells Banks He Better Learn to Play WR

Some fans take their expectations of player loyalty way too seriously. I'm sure that Banks, as well as probably 70% of the league have hats from multiple teams in their closet. Just because someone plays for the Redskins (or any other team) their entire wardrobe doesn't have to be maroon and black. (winks at Jim Zorn)

His standing on the roster, however tenuous as it may be, won't be impacted by his choice of apparel.

On a more relevant note, his roster chance is probably around 10%. He's going to have to outplay Austin, Robinson and Lance Lewis at WR and I doubt he's got the talent to do so. He has one asset, speed and when he's even slightly dinged, as he was last year, even that isn't special at the NFL level. If Robinson shows any ability at KR/PR, Banks is done.

That's BS. If he is on our team he should not wear other teams stuff. Plan common sense. He is nothing but a feel good story and will be gone soon. Maybe the Steelers will give him a job.

It doesn't matter to me if he wears a Steelers hat. Doesn't matter at all

Re: Shanahan Tells Banks He Better Learn to Play WR

Back in the day you would never catch a player wearing another teams stuff. The way players go from team to team its hard to tell which players really care about their team and wearing other teams stuff makes it even harder to tell.
