Exactly. Foles is their qb for the forseeable future.

Its also the bad thing. We always seem to be the ones to end other teams bad streaks.

Re: Redskins Vs Eagles Pregame Thread

London Fletcher needs to be either benched or cut at this point. With 1 tackle last week and another prime RB coming up on the schedule, I don't see good things. It burns me up we re-signed a old ass vet when there were cheaper and better options out there.

Mike has apparently lost his balls at some point. He talks about competition, yet continues to allow this farce to go on with Fletch. Fuck the sentimental shit, we need to win some games and London isn't getting it done.

Yeah, but damn you remember his last December? Defensive Player of Month, he beasted everybody.

I reject the notion, however, that Nick Barnett and Perry Riley would "get it done" under any definition. The whole position is a weak point on this team, much like it was in 2006. When we fixed the issue by signing London Fletcher.

We'll see if he kicks it up a notch next month, I don't expect him to. Dude looks slow evaluating play development and making decisions about where to be.

And don't ask him to cover a TE...

I can tell his heart is still in the game but I think his skills are taking a downward turn.

I keep hoping every game he makes me eat some crow but... Still waiting.

Re: Redskins Vs Eagles Pregame Thread

This game simply boils down to the basics (which have not been consistently applied this year). TDs in the redzone instead of field goal attempts, winning time of possession, and coming up with some stops on Defense. I don't expect to stop them everytime, but they can't score on every drive.

We can put up 30-40 points on them, but it won't matter if we can't tackle the ball carrier or cover their receivers.

Re: Redskins Vs Eagles Pregame Thread

I think mentally Fletcher is pretty sharp. He is smart enough to take on the blocker, because he knows he isn't fast enough to get to the ball carrier anymore. He isn't that far down the list in overall tackles. He's probably lost enough of his speed, that he just can't get where he wants to go anymore. He's still smart enough to get a 100 tackles(for the season), when there are guys 15 years younger that can't manage 50.

I have NEVER been this unenthusiatic about a Redskins game, and that includes year 2 of Jim Zorn, and year 2 of Steve Spurrier. Just Sick of the inconsistency of this team. Just seems like no matter what players we both put out there, it is the same damn result. Offense plays great = Defense sucks, defense plays well = offense sucks, offense and defense plays well = special teams gives up 400 yards in returns to some slow pile of crap. Just Sick of the same bullshit every Sunday.

Like TheMalcolmConnection always says "You have a streak that you want broken, play the Redskins"

I was just thinking we had a 96 Yard drive against the Chargers that netted no points. What kind of shit is that?
