I think the Redskins have Levi Jones penciled in as the starting LT for opening day 2010. I think Samuels, Betts, Randle El, Daniels, Randy Thomas, and Rock Cartwright are all gone. I think CJ Spiller will be our first pick. I think I'd rather they wait until the 2nd round and take Best or Dwyer. I think we don't take a OL before the 3rd round and we take 2 in the draft. If they don't take an OL with their first 2 picks then I would consider this stupid and they haven't learned their lesson. They can find a good RB in the 4th or 3rd if a trade is made. I hope they are blowing smoke.

JC should be back. He has played well throughout the season. Plus there are too many other holes that need to be filled. OL, RB, and DB all need to be filled before QB. I would devote this draft to those positions. If possible take CJ Spiller with 1 ( I live in SC and he is a beast). Like Portis but SPiller is explosive and could make Defenses thinking more. Then go OL in the middle rounds and CB in the late round. Or a QB in the mid late rounds like the kid from Central Mich or Ole Miss. There are some QBs next year that shoudl be good: The kids from Cincy, Washington, and Arkansas.

From your fingers to God's eyes. I wouldn't be too disappointed in this scenario. I watched Spiller a few times this season and thought that he is EXACTLY what our offense needed but didn't think he'd really be viable with our other needs. If we're in the top 10 I think that's too high for him but if we can trade down into the mid teens that's about right.

We as a fan base need to avoid the 'draft an OL at any cost' mentality. We drafted an OL early last year, how's that worked for us? We need to get quality OL in here, whether by trade, draft or FA. Drafting well is a priority, quality over quantity.

Eh. Rinehart is kind of a bad example for your argument. He was always a project and probably drafted too high. He wasn't exactly playing against NFL caliber D-lineman at Northern Iowa. The thing about wiffing on Rinehart that stings so much is that we passed up on the best class of OTs in recent history in the early rounds.

Smack you sound as if you have an inside track and it sounds good. I look for Levi Jones and Mike Williams to both play prominent roles in 2010. We could very easily have our RG & LT, Williams is a better player at G than he is at T. RT and depth is now key for the OL.

So who do you think will be the coach then? Promoting a GM from within would seem to eliminate all the big name coach options.
