Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread
As long as we address OL in a major way, than I am good with other thoughts. But we won't know that till March, for now OL and QB need to be a priority, along with a DC that has a clue.

It is? says who? Not what I have heard. Very strong draft class at OL, strong FA class at Edge rusher. FA OL are always over priced due to demand and not many good ones are allowed to hit FA. There are said to be starting quality OTs going to be available in the second round, not Pro Bowlers, so if you go QB in the 1st then one or two OL in the second, or package for trade up, would seem to be the better plan

2024 Early Bird Draft Thread

No Penix. Was hurt for three different years at Indiana and lefty quarterbacks make me nervous. I know there are a handful of great ones, but man it seems like an awkward motion. We need a LT or a QB named Maye or Williams , maybe Daniels with that second pick. Penix also has three stud wr’s that bail him out. Hard pass. |

Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread
I've only seen two now - both College playoff games. He looked really great against Texas, but he wasn't under pressure in that game like he was against Michigan.
I agree with you that it's all about the overall body of work, not one game. Despite his injury history, someone will likely take him in the 1st, either because he's worth it or because QBs are always over-drafted. I am not sure he'll go in the top 5 though. It's probably Maye & Williams in the top 5, Daniels and Penix next two off the board somewhere between 10-32. |

I think bears stick with fields or trade out

Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread
I’d be really surprised if they stick with Fields. 3 years and 38 starts is enough to know he was a bust. He had another in a string of bad games to finish the season

Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread
To get a true #1 receiver for their QB in Marvin Harrison, Jr? I wouldn't do that but I would be grateful if they would and give us the first choice of all the QB's in the draft.

Honestly, if they take a LT, QB, or Marvin Harrison Jr. I'm going to be happy. Nothing beyond that makes sense - unless they trade out. |

Re: 2024 Early Bird Draft Thread
IMO I'd rather have Harrison at number 2 than a LT. LT can be addressed in round 2.
