Some other poster also summed me up great, IMO - i'm a guy who loves the redskins, doesn't really know their "glory days", but are afraid about most things with the team because my entire time as a fan has been when Dan / The Skins have been at their worst, so now that things are looking better it's hard for me to see the positives as I'm so afraid that we go back to doing things the way we used to.

I'm coming around. I for real love all of you guys though. This is the place i visit the most on the net, and I couldn't imagine life without this site and all of the great people here. Nothing like Extreme Skins. Matty is cool, like he'll talk to you and stuff and he's just a good guy. You can tell all of the love that went into making this site...HTTR

Not sure how old you are. I do remember the glory days, and I will tell you what, the Redskins are making a little habit out of winning lately. This is by far thee best they have looked in years, in every aspect....cap room, full draft choices, current roster, depth, age, gm, snyder staying away, coaching. It is a good time to be a Redskin fan! And I couldn't agree more - I love this site. Everyone is cool. Nobody is a dick. Its like a family. Not like "that other site". HTTR!

3 retired quarterbacks on Monday Morning QB think Kirk is the future at QB for the Redskins.

I agree with the experts.

Who are you gonna trust: three former professional QB's or CASKINS?

I'm with CASKINS. Kirk should be judged on a play-by-play basis. When he makes a bad play, bench him and put in Colt. When Colt makes a mistake, bench him and put in Sudfeld. I admit that the plan becomes a little hazy when Sudfeld makes a mistake but, hey, who wants a starting QB who isn't perfect?

Hey Jay may be creeping up on 50, but I bet he can still sling it pretty good

They could bring Sonny Jurgensen down from the radio booth and suit him up. He's a Hall of Famer!

3 reasons y IMO.

A. He's pretty good and knows the system now.

B. He is still learning, brees wasn't very good until a few years as a starter either..

C. Who else we gonna get?? There are no QBs in this draft that say "wow he's the guy"

Never heard the two of them. Lol. I listen occasionally on sirius when i cant get in front of a game. But I can only imagine. I would seriously love to have him as a guest poster on one gameday thread. He would go full meltdown. Haha.

Re: Kirk Cousins 24/7 thread

What happens if kirk has a slightly above average year (throws say 16 picks and 18 td's.. do you pay him the huge money? or offer average money and risk he will walk. how many of you would sign him today for 20 million a year?

I think that even if he has an average year we are going to overpay. It's the nature of the QB position. We either pay or someone else will. I would lock him long term.

I would sign him today no doubt. As far as when that time actually comes? Are we winning? What did he do in big spots? There is more to it than just stats. That being said, it is nearly impossible to find a great qb who is going to be there for ten -15 years and go to the hall. It is hard to just find an above average one who can win you games for a few/ several years. Im signing him.

3 years between 18 and 23 per. 2 years optional. In my opinion, he's not elite, but he's likely consistent if we continue to have excellent position players around him.

In the mean time, you draft a quarterback between rounds 2 and 4 in the next 2 years to take the helm should he fail.

I watched Sudfeld in college a handful of times. Seemed pretty decent because IU didn't exactly have studs all around him. Big kid too.
