Tonight was like the third piece of pie on Thanksgiving . . . almost more than you can absorb. I may just freeze it and gaze at it every so often in the spring and summer. What a season

Playoff Victory - Postgame Thread

One of the games the 15-2 Lions lost was to the Bucs (20-16 in week 2). Anything can happen.

I’ll also say this, yes we have won a lot of games in the last minute, including a couple that we might easily have lost. You know who else has had a season like that, the Chiefs. Good and well coached teams find ways to win those games. Finally, we are one of those teams.

Huge win despite Quinn. As previous poster stated he’s insane.I thought he shoulda took the points in the first to tie it at 3,and I didn’t like the call to go for it on fourth and five before the Tampa Bay fumble.Points are going to be a must against Detroit so I imagine we will see him continue to gamble, there’s a time and a place to go for it and Dan is screwing that up IMO, not only in this game, but there have been others where he should’ve went for it and didn’t.
I sound like a Debbie Downer lol,I know,I’m happy for a win

It has been pointed out that they went for it on 4th instead of taking the FG 4 times. 2x they failed 2x they scored the TD.

4 FG = 12 points
2 TD = 14 points

Considering that:

- FGs aren't sure things (see doink winning FG)
-This team is converting on 85% of their 4th down tries.

This may just be the better strategy rather than a gamble

and considering Gonzalez; i much rather have the ball in JD5 hand then on ZG foot

also every time ZG kicks i can't not help to laugh that i think Captain Chaos has come back from retirement

Re: Playoff Victory - Postgame Thread

Just finished watching the game (recording, UK time). Wow! Not as exciting a finish as the Hail Beary, but its right up there. Wonder if it'll get its own identity? The Tampa Bay Doink?

I like the way Brown stepped up, but I'm not ready to christen him the #2 yet. He's had 4 years and 1 game might make you a hero, it doesn't make you a star (just ask Timmy Smith). WR and OL are still a priority on O this offseason.

I don't think anyone had a bad night, though if we have a prayer v Lions, the pass D has to step up, and the running game can't go missing for stretches of the game. I'm savouring this one for the next 6 days. Unfortunately, another 1AM game for me next week...

Dyami Brown is a case study in how a poor coaching staff can fail to discover a player’s strengths

Re: Playoff Victory - Postgame Thread

I'm not just saying this because he's our QB but folks JD5 is the best Rookie QB EVER in the history of football.

Evan Abrams
@EvanHAbrams
Two QBs have engineered an offense on the road in the playoffs with 0 punts and 0 turnovers...

2024 Jayden Daniels
2003 Peyton Manning
