Re: WFT vs Bills Pregame Thread

Bills 42
WFT 17

This game was a loss before the season started. With how our team has played the first 2 games, it won't even be close.

I'm with you!
Some catnip for the game.

Taylor throws 5 TDs and the Washington Football Heinicke's win.

I want Gibson to look like this after the game. Just keep feeding him and feeding him.

We need to win time of possession this game.

The gifs here are better than the analysis. Ha.

Fix the big play breakdowns on D and we have a chance and we can at least keep it close. If not, we get blown out.

I’m guessing a redemption game for the D but we struggle to move the ball consistently and lose 23-16. We lose but play well enough against an very good team to make the sting a little less.

Looking up memes and GIFs is way more enjoyable than getting up and getting ready for work.

Several years ago I walked passed some fucked up sex shop in the Village NYC, they proudly had several full gimp outfits hanging in their display window. I figured G1 would go with the most colorful one, more his style.

But yeah, that scene is a classic

Re: WFT vs Bills Pregame Thread

on defense ... Id force Allen to be a pocket QB and have to beat you with his arm

- i wouldnt blitz, Allen is too good at avoiding contact then extending plays. That td pass to Diggs on Sunday a good example

- Make Allen clutch and second guess. id drop Chase and Montez back into short zone coverage or the flats every now and then just to disrupt the timing of the short middle stuff he will throw .. 5.3 yards an attempt is absurdly low .. mind blowingly low even for a small 2 game sample size

- JDR needs to show wrinkles. Its week 3, lets show some disguises and new looks.

--------

If we can keep Allen in the pocket and take away his 1st read = possible success

^^ a really good, video intense bills forum

It's all about coaching adjustments prior to the game, in-game and execution on the field. Otherwise we don't stand a chance.

If our defense doesn't keep Allen in check, we'll lose!

Re: WFT vs Bills Pregame Thread

I agree with everyone that says this game won't be close.
Josh Allen gets 100 yards rushing.

Why do we not have run pass option in our playbook? I can understand them being afraid of TH getting hurt, but at least run the damn play, give the look so there's at least the threat of it,just pass it dont let him run with it.

I was pretty damn close with my pregame prediction last week, but would love to be dead wrong this week

not to pick, but it doesn't seem like you were very close at all. You said Barkely has his biggest game in 2 years. and had both teams at 20 or under.

That said, I think they are trying to get him used to being in the pocket and not running at the first sign of trouble. I believe they will add in more twists as he gets more reps with the ones, and IF Samuels comes back and plays the playbook will open even more.

Not this week though

Re: WFT vs Bills Pregame Thread

Week 1 Steelers @ Bills is a fun game to watch if you like tough defensive football.
14 of the Steelers' 23 points came on: a blocked punt in the redzone returned for 6; and an incredible and kinda flukish TD catch by Diontae Johnson, DB tips the ball and he stills makes the catch, TD set up by a long DPI on 3 down from the 50.

So, I really don't see us winning this game, but, things that give me a little bit of hope:
-It is possible to put Allen under a lot of pressure, Pittsburg did it, so if our DL wants to prove they are actually top 5 in the NFL, now is the time.
-Heinickeee

Things that I already feared:
-Very tough, disciplined and complete defense
-Fierce DL, Taylor will have to make plays on the run
-Josh Allen can throw and so far we haven't proved we can handle mobile QBs well...

One scary thing that I discovered watching the game:
-The Bills running game is legit. Singletary has really good vision and ability to make a lot with very little space. Gap responsibility by our front 7 will be key.
