Re: Still in it: Redskins-Eagles Post Game Thread
We did sweep the dirty birds . As far as Breeland , coming out of HS , he was one of the top Safety prospects , maybe he would be better moving to FS next year ?

Re: Still in it: Redskins-Eagles Post Game Thread
Next week we need TB to lose to Dallas big time. If they keep winning we are screwed. Giants are basically a lock now to get in unless they lose 2 more games (one to us) and we win out

They have to play Detroit at home and Philly and Wash. on the road, no easy task.

Re: Still in it: Redskins-Eagles Post Game Thread
I also think we're all getting damn greedy.
![]() If you told me last year this would be our record right now, I'd have literally done back-flips. Most of us picked us to have a worse record but be a better team. I think we could say with confidence that's what happened this year. The Bengals tie still pisses me off to no end (AND the Lions loss, but it looks like he's doing that to everyone) but we're doing damn good considering where we were a few years ago. I think a heavy investment into defense in the offseason to where the offense doesn't have to carry the team and we'll look like a legitimate contender.

Yeah I really don't understand the sour grapes attitude after a division road win. We're a win away from wrapping up a 2nd straight winning season and we're very much alive for another potential playoff berth, and people are grumbling like we're the Browns or something. |

It's a week to week league. There is no guaranteed win. Every game is a war between two of the 32 best football teams on earth... And some teams' strengths match well against others teams' weaknesses, and vice versa. Records don't mean shit. Be happy to come out victorious of the warpath, and prepare for the next battle!

Exactly. Bottom line is that we are real close to being a one loss team rite now! Are you kidding me? There is not one team that would say, "ok we got the Skins this week - we should win this game". Not one. We are legit rite now because of that alone. Two years ago, and for many years prior, we were considered a gimme. We were a dumpster fire, and nobody was taking us seriously. On top of that our season would be well over in late October. We are in the midst of a two year period where we win more than we lose, and this year we never get blown out. Now people like to complain that we are never winning comfortably. Lol. |

Re: Still in it: Redskins-Eagles Post Game Thread
I know the Everett play was bad but look at it this way, if he doesn't smack Sproles, he is out there on that last drive and could have gotten them the game winning TD.....

I can see where the Eagles would be upset with the hit. However I do think the fact that they lost flamed that fire more so. The way I look at it is; at least it's not us anymore. I used to watch teams come into FedEx and smack us right in the mouth and laugh as they walked out with a W. When Scot McC took over and said, "We won't always get a win but after you play the Redskins, you're gonna feel it." I was ecstatic and wanted to see that happen, and it has. In this league it's either Hit or Get Hit and we've gotten more and more physical the past two years. We've beaten the Eagles FIVE times in a row. We're laying people out and playing with enough emotion to start fights/scuffles. This is how football is supposed to be played. I'm loving every minute of this season and the overall Scot McC rebuild. Another year or two and we have a legitimate contender boys.

Wow good news on cravens...elbow flexor, week to week. Man the way they were taking yesterday it seemed like cravens would be out for awhile, possibly the year.
Wild Compton is also week to week...sounds like both avoided major injuries
