No real surprise in terms of poor mgmt. I do not understand where the "blind" faith in this FO comes from? Especially when you consider what we spent in FA last year and to what end? Still don't have a legit NT and Jenkins (if healthy) should make Bowen/Carriker expendable.

...whatevs.

Re: NFL taking away Redskins cap space

one issue i have with this that i havent seen mentioned yet is the short notice. why wait almost 2 years from the alleged "wrongdoing" and spring something on teams 24 hours away from free agency?

Yeah, I agree. The timing could hardly be worse and could have been avoided.

Re: NFL taking away Redskins cap space

That's bs. If the NFL approved the contracts during the uncapped year, how can they turn around and do this?

All the same though I'm sure this FO knew what it was doing when it was doing it. If this stands they'll just have to adjust.

Wow, the NFL could not have gotten us at a worse time. 1 day before free agency. I know the league office is judge, jurry, and executioner; but in a case where we broke no rules yet are severely punnished Is there a higher power we can appeal to? Like a court?

Even if we can appeal i think players and agents would be very worry of signing deals with us until the outcome is finalized, as they may become future cap causalities. Just a lot of uncertanity.

I do feel like this has saved us from ourselves to some extent. No VJax in my eyes is a good thing.

Luckily, our QBs are not devouring our cap space. :FIREdevil

Of course the Skins, Cowboys and any other "offenders" can singly or in unison file a suit against the NFL. Anyone can file a suit against anyone else at any time for anything; all you need do is fill out the paperwork at the courthouse correctly.

However, any team that files a suit here - - whether or not it wins or loses that lawsuit - - best never come close to breaking any other league rules. Al Davis beat the NFL in court once; look how many "breaks" the Raiders got from the league in the 20 years following that victory.
