Re: Cowboys cut T.O.
If Holt is released, he'll be a Carolina Panther. He's been wanting to play there for years. If Holt came, he would be our #2. His numbers dropped a little last year, but he still had almost 800yards on a team whose offense was just horrible. i'd love to have him here, but i think the odds are 1000-1 that he signs with the Panthers or stays with the Rams.

Re: Cowboys cut T.O.
On the other hand, maybe the Cowboys sign Marvin Harrison as a replacement for TO.

Re: Cowboys cut T.O.
I'm not going to lie I would be more than ok with it if we signed him. I don't like him as a person at all, but he could help us big time. It would be risky, but it could work. Maybe not.

Re: Cowboys cut T.O.
Only if he comes dirt cheap and we device a jockstrap filled with C-4 and a remote detonator. "Ok T.O., you make a peep and you'll go boom". Actually, any team that even considers him should take note of this idea. LOL.

Re: Cowboys cut T.O.
He will count 9 million towards the cap in 2009 for them (7%) of total cap, or slightly more than it would have cost to keep him (his extension averaged 8.5 million annually, but was likely backloaded).

Re: Cowboys cut T.O.
If Vinny signs him I'm gonna flip and not in a good way. I am glad though that they lost T.O. Roy Williams has only gone over a 1,000 yards in his career once and has had trouble staying healthy so hopefully it'll be easier to beat the Cowboys this year. Then again if the fact that Romo was getting held back is true then those two games a year just got harder.

Re: Cowboys cut T.O.
I didn't see this coming.
Maybe Jerry Jones is throwing chum in the water because he knows we'll be tempted with all the cap space we have. Danny might try to focus TO's distractions into dallas hate and sign him so he can face them twice a year. I personally wouldn't like to see TO in a Redskins jersey. I can't think of where he'd go next...I just hope he stays the hell away from the NFC Beast.

Re: Cowboys cut T.O.
if he stayed, he f*cks their team chemistry, if he goes they aren' quite talented enough at receiver anymore. their obvious team strength goes from very intimidating to not soo much eh? either way they were f*cked and i love it

Re: Cowboys cut T.O.
Drops too many passes. Didn't run the routes correctly last season. Can help a team? Yes. Is he on the decline. YES! Do we want him? NO!!!

Re: Cowboys cut T.O.
There is no way in hell that DeAngelo Hall will play on the same team as T.O. Remember the Thursday Night Game against Atlanta where T.O. spit on Hall and after the game Hall said he didn't respect him "as a man." All that D. Hall has been quiet talk will be for naught if T.O. signs here, in fact he'll get a jump start on destroying a team from the inside out if he comes here.
NFL fines Cowboys' Owens $35,000 for spitting on Hall - NFL - ESPN Anyway the fact of the matter is that D. Hall is here and he's got the big contract. So for everyone worried that Vinny would sign T.O. take a breath and relax. Even Vinny isn't that crazy. I'm actually surprised that no one mentioned this sooner. Dirtbag wins the thread...wait he just lost it as declaring oneself the winner equals automatic fail. Either way, craziness is now settled.

Re: Cowboys cut T.O.
T.O for all his antic's made Dallas a better team cause he was a #1 WR. ...He dropped a lot of balls and ran wrong routes....How much of that was Romo's fault? ie; threw the pass too hard on short routes, over thrown balls, balls not thrown hard enough on the long balls, and the dirt balls? True he may have ran wrong routes....sometimes he looked like he did during a game but how much of it was the other WR ran the wrong route bringing all the defenders into the zone T.O. was supposed to be in? How much of it was T.O. could not hear the play being changed at the line of scrimage?
No one can dispute T.O. has talent it's just his attitude and chemistry. If he could curb the attitude and focus it on the field toward the other team, and have chemistry with a team he would be dangerous. You put him with a team with a strong coach and perhaps word his contract right in case he acts up he knows he can be fined or cut, then he will be fine. He'll destroy the Raiders even further in to dispare. NE would be a good stop for him with the strong HC. I wouldn't mind having him with the Skins with a decent contract but it's the chemistry issue and I don't know if Zorn could keep him in check. and the Hall incident. He definitly would be our #1 we've needed to compliment Moss and perhaps our new guys could learn a little about route running and using their body to shield the ball from defenders. He would be pissed with Dallas enough to play harder. Dallas has their issues this year. I don't see them doing very well. They have lost a few peices to their puzzle and even though w/o T.O. the chemistry will be better they have lost a DE, CB, WR and I can't remember what else. WR and DE could be picked up in the draft but as most of us have figured out by now 1st yr WR don't amount to much. DE would be their best bet in the first round then either WR who is talented and tall or a shut down CB. In any case I think they screwed themselves even though they have Williams. |
