Re: Redskins vs. Lions predictions
Not at all - I'm sure Lions fans have the same confidence for the same reasons...
The Lions are going to throw a ton - everyone knows that. I'd expect to see an aggresive rush to counteract that, rather than Nickel and Dime coverage. Extra fan support from section 309 should make the difference. Redskins 24 Lions 21©

Re: Redskins vs. Lions predictions
im gonna go with King's prediction
"Game of the week. Jason Campbell and Jon Kitna stand 10 paces apart and have a good old-fashioned shootout. So why, with the Redskins averaging 198 passing yards and the Lions 313, do I choose Campbell to win? Simple. Better secondary on his team. Roy Williams, have your head on a swivel Sunday. Those two safeties are looking to add a few tattoos to you." Redskins 30, Lions 27

Re: Redskins vs. Lions predictions
I think the skins D will show up pressuring Kitna to make bad decisions. The D will have a few turnovers I'll say 3 or 4 which will lead to at least 14 points. The Skins will control the ball with power running. They will convert 3rd downs and keep Kitna and the number 1 passing offense off the field. I think we will also see some trickery on offense, I expect maybe a Randle El pass or a flea flicker. Go Skins.
Skins win 31 to 21. |

Skins 17, Lions 21, but we will fight our guts out and be all in it together.

No, that's what Gibbs wants you to take away from our multitude of losses in his second stint. Hope the win predictions come true, though. I have lost faith.

Skins come out and lay the wood from start to finish
20- 3 Skins win. The score being much closer than how the game actually went |

Re: Redskins vs. Lions predictions
This pisses me off. We are going up against a team that leads the league in sacks allowed, is ranked 32nd against the pass and yards allowed and I'm posting on the Warpath where supposed Skins fans are predicting a loss!! Come on Guys! We are going to open it up this Sunday!
Let me understand....are a few of you predicting the Lions to win, so that when we all log back in after the game....you can say "I told you so" ?? My point is... I dont belive that I will EVER post a prediction of the Skins losing. Just can't, just won't. Cause I believe in them. And I have nothing to gain by predicting a loss. Let the flaming begin.....:o)

I think it's possible to be a fan, and still predict that your team is going to lose. Doesn't mean I want them to, but based on performance, injuries, hunch, the alignment of the planets, or whatever, I think they might... Thus my prediction. Get over it. |

What makes you think we are going to open it up? What indications has the coaching staff given you that they are going to open it up? I can bet the gameplan is try and keep the Det offense off the field and control the clock. Which isn't a bad idea if your finishing drives off with TD's. But since we have a tough time doing that it's going to be a problem. |

Re: Redskins vs. Lions predictions
This is not a good match-up for us. I expect Det. to put up 24-31 points. Can we match them? Probably not.

Re: Redskins vs. Lions predictions
my prediction included 4 Det. FGs & 1 TD, as I don't see any way we can shut them down, but maybe bend don't break on D.
The question for me in this game is w/the D. Will GW go after Kitna more often than not, or will we play off the wr's in the cover 3 or 2 to prevent the big play & rely on the d line for pressure? I see GW mixing up the calls a lot in this one & he'll have to send Landry & Rocky after Kitna a no. of times. Kitna's been sacked a lot this year, Martz has a spurrier like protection scheme. On the flip side, they have 4 good wr's & can break plays. On offense, there are so many questions. I don't know what to expect. |
