i am pretty sure old bay is an east coast thing. its basically a spicy seasoning mostly used on crabs(atleast thats what i use it on). i have heard its good on fries but have never tried it.

Hey speaking of crabcakes, I was in D.C. a couple of weekends ago, and my wife and I ate at Joe Thiesmann's restaurant at King Street -- I think that's actually in Alexandria. I had to explain who Joe Theismann is to the wife, by the way.

Anyhoo, I had the filet mignon (medium rare) with a crab cake.

It was fabulous.

crabchips with con-queso.... if you can get past the chips breaking off and having to fish them out and ending up con-queso and oldbay covered.


and aunt jemima is much hotter than buttersworth.
