Re: Minnesota Game -- Predictions

How anybody can be confidant this will be a dominant win is beyond me.We havent won 2 in a row all season,we havent come close to dominating anybody. The only team we beat on the road is Oakland, whose defense just made Nick Foles look like the greatest qb of all time.
I wont be shocked if we win but I will be pleasantly surprised.I think Vikings win in a close game, probably decided by whoever wins on special teams.

Re: Minnesota Game -- Predictions

We ALWAYS seem to do well against AP. Just hope this isn't our off game. Biggest thing we need to do is not let QBs scramble out of the pocket. The past 2 weeks we get SO close but they keep squeaking out of there.

And of course, pain.

Re: Minnesota Game -- Predictions

Ponder is a hard luck 0-5 this year, but the injuries are piling up. This team is ripe for the picking.

Re: Minnesota Game -- Predictions

For some reason whenever we play a good team, we keep the game close for the most part. Historically whenever we have went up against a team that "Sucks", we have found ways to take a pounding and to lose miserably.

Losses to the Lions and Rams come to mind. Minnesota could beat us badly. I just hope we don't lay an egg in this game. Another win and we might be on to something, but if they lose I would almost think that with 6 losses we'd be done unless we find a way to run the tables....

True enough!
If we are making any headway, we'll put a stake in these boys.........

I have only seen Ponder play a couple times this year (and saw none of the Cowboys' game), but, from what I did see, it seemed to me his 0-5 was well deserved.

True, but the NFL is crazy this year. Teams are up and down and winning big than losing big, etc. So - the logic of this particular year says......Skins in a blowout.

I'm predicting the Skins will cruise to victory, 38-24. Griffin has his best game, throwing for 300 yards and 3 TDs.

Re: Minnesota Game -- Predictions

How does our DL/LB match up against their OL?
Is Wilson on our injured list ?
I'd like to see more of Helu this game and take the load off of Morris.
I guess Thompson blew his opportunity early on.

We need this game to close the gap on cowboys who play the saints.

Fair enough. It's a short week and anything can happen.

I guess I'm inclined to think we're playing at a much better level than early on. I think we're finally getting in sync both offensively and defensively, and have the chance to put forth a solid product for the first time.

Would I bet my house on the Skins this week? No. But I don't think I'm drinking the cool aid by predicting a solid win versus a team that hasn't tasted a victory yet in the USA.

If there is one thing this defense has been successful at, it's stopping the #1 player. Take away AP, and Minnesota is garbage.

Anyone catch the Randal Cunningham In the Life special on NFLN?

Kind scary that RGIII maybe following the same path.

Eh, they have some similarities but Cunningham was clearly wrapped up in himself and the celebrity lifestyle where RG seems to have a much better grip on things and is more grounded in reality.
