A . I can see all of these guys making an impact this year ( maybe not RB/ Rutgers ). Speed on offense , hitting / tackling on Defense !

Re: Draft wrap-up 2013

i don't doubt shanny's rbs, i just doubt that we needed to draft 2.

i gave it a c grade, acceptable.

factor in the 1st round to rams for griff, bump that up to b grade.

Re: Draft wrap-up 2013

I gave our draft a A based off of need and value. We covered 3 huge holes with the two safeties and CB. Reed is a insurance policy for Fred, who I think they let walk next year anyways. To get Jenkins in the 5th round could potentially be the steal of the draft. Had he played in 2012, he most likely would have been a 2nd rounder or higher. Mike is the best in the business at finding incredible RBs so I'll defer to his judgement on these picks. Besides, Helu hasn't shown he can stay healthy and no way can we continue running Morris the way we did. We desperately needed a change of back to compliment him. We got that.

Solid draft. Whether they pan out or not is another story.

I gave it a B. Lots of great skill position picks, but I'd like too have seen at least one or two linemen.

Not to pick on you, but I'm not getting this fascination with drafting linemen this year. We're already 2 deep at every position on the line. Not pro-bowlers deep but sure as hell better off than 5th or 6th round rookie deep. What value would a 5th or 6th round OL bring over a Gettis, Compton, LeRibeus, Hurt? We drafted 6 OL over the past 3 years and signed 3 more who are starting for us. What more do we need to do on the OL?

This.

I understand having some concern about RT, but I don't think it's a dire situation.

Besides, nobody we would have taken in the 4th-7th round would have supplanted Polumbus anyhow. The point is moot about taking a OT in those late rounds.

Draft some upside would be my answer.

I would've gone with Barrett Jones in round 3. Potentially a very valuable player with a higher ceiling than any current backup.

Re: Draft wrap-up 2013

I would give the skins a B-/C+ based on the draft board below, 3 3rd round worthy, 2 4th round worthy and 2 5 th round worthy. See link:

Re: Draft wrap-up 2013

I gave the draft an A when including RG III as a pick, because for all intents and purposes he is for this year and the next.

Loved what we were able to add to the team and Oki I agree I can't wait to see this new defense unveiled. After the bye in week 5, I could see these guys rely coming together. Added some nice pieces on both sides of the ball.

I also love how the FO decided to go all or nothing with these guys and added big physical players to the secondary.

The FSU players added in the 5th could be huge if they stay healthy. Both players add excellent depth to strong groups.

What am I looking at here? The official Skins draft board? If so, there seems to be some ranking mixups. I'll try to decipher it in the morning.

We (still) have only one healthy, starting-caliber OT on the team, Trent. The rest of the guys either 1) suck 2) are coming off significant injury and long in the tooth 3) have shown absolutely nothing.

Right now, we're in the same position the Eagles were going into the 2012 season, they had one legitimate OT (Jason Peters) and when he went down the offense was done for the year.

Obviously they think they can get by with Polumbus. I would expect them to address RT in 2014. Remember, this was the 4th ranked scoring offense with Polumbus at RT.
