Re: Bears Postgame

Good:

I love Jon Allen. Definitely have a man crush on him and I'd like to think if he knew me it would be a full on bromance.

I also love Tress Way. Dude is a game changer for us.

I'll give props to Milne. I have been hard on him all season and I still don't think a roster spot for someone that only returns punts is a smart move but 11.5 return average is solid.

Pass rush was awesome. They did what they needed to do.

Bad:

The offense. ST is not able to adapt to personnel IMO and his play calling is just turble as Charles barkley would say. O line... Wentz is just not good consistently. Right now I am probably most disappointed in the WR they are supposed to be a strength and they aren't helping Wentz, oline enough, ultimately this all falls on Scott because I have zero doubts we give this offense group to Belichick and we are 3-2 if not 4-1.

Side note: We got our first legitimate turnovers of the season at week 6, that is not a recipe for success either. Winning the TO battle = higher win probability

Tackling had some very poor moments last night.

Re: Bears Postgame

The last 2 Thursday Night Football games have been 2 of the worst games played in NFL history. Shame on all 4 teams.

All of this is accurate.

People love blaming Wentz because he's an easy target but the WRs aren't getting open and if they do they drop it like Samuel did. If Wentz hits that throw we all say "Thats a dime" but it was dropped.

OL sucks ass, he has very little time back there.

DBs suck, Jamin Davis cant tackle well at all.

This team is not good and RR is the man behind it all. He built the team

I can't remember what it was but old Ron screwed up either calling a time out or something and I'm just sitting there thinking what the hell does he even do standing there.

Re: Bears Postgame

Positives

- lots of pre snap motion w Samuel, so much by the 4th Q the bears didnt even react

- some good runs out of shotgun .. maybe a little predictable for future games bc if the back lined up to Carsons right, the run would be a sweep left

- Stuck w run (28 carries) vs a poor run D team

- some creative play calling and formations .. and the plays were executed and mostly worked. That one play with 3 backs/te in the backfield w Carson was really unique and gave Carson options .. fake pitch right and throw screen back across the play left

- a slant to terry, a TE seam to Cole Turner

- Holcomb is stepping up. First 3-4 games he would get washed out in run plays, not hit the hole and get his tackle stats by being the second or third guy in. Now hes getting in there, making solo tackles making tackles at point of attack and not 8 yards down field.

Bad:

- Carson inaccuracy on balls he has to hit on. 12/22 for 99 yards aint a good look son

- Not a lot of on time throws, Carson holds the ball for a second longer making sure its a safe enough ball to deliver .. get the ball out on time in space as the play call is designed

- Curtis Samuel with a couple of drops, one for a TD

- only 4 targets to Terry .. this must be addresses. Coaches on both sides have done a decent job of addressing issues but this lack of utilizing Terry continues

- penalties .. only 7 this time

- 3rd down conversion .. 2/11 this week, 1/11 last week = should be historically bad

Re: Bears Postgame

Jon Allen had a 91 pass rush grade last night.
Sweat 92

Allen has 5 sacks already
Payne has 4
Sweat has 3

When CY gets back this defense will be even better.

Re: Bears Postgame

For whatever reason, we typically play the Packers pretty well. Hopefully we can get a nice win.

They have no offensive identity right now, LaFleur is also not calling good offensive game plans.

If it doesn't conflict with the Braves possible Game 5, I will probably break my not going out for games decision. Hard to pass on watching us play against Aaron Rodgers. Not sure how many more times this will happen.

If we can get pressure on 12 we have a chance. Prob won't win but keep it closer
