Re: Official Orioles and Nationals Thread 2012

How about Jayson Werth getting the game winning RBI? That's a nice little slice of redemption pie for him. This is the first year in a while where I have complete confidence in our pitching staff. Lidge/Rodriguez as closers scare me a little, with Lidge's history of blown saves and Henry's inexperience, but otherwise I think we are good. And our lineup should get a boost once Harper gets called up and Morse gets back. If we can keep winning without those two in the lineup it will really help when they get back.

Re: Official Orioles and Nationals Thread 2012

The biggest concern for me is how well we'll continue hitting with Morse out of the lineup and Harper in the minors, but my secondary concern is Storen and his recovery. Once we get completely healthy thought I think this team has a good chance to look even better than they do right now.

I know its early, but I have to brag for one second because this may not happen again this season.

The Orioles and the Nats are on top of their respective divisions.

It feels so good to rep the DMV right now.

Headed to the Nats game this evening. Strassy on the mound and a brew in hand.

i loosely follow the orioles. they are my favorite baseball team, but that's not saying much. i like baseball slightly more than hockey and slightly less than basketball.

nationals fans under the age of 40 are like ravens fans under the age of 30, can't trust 'em

As a Nats fan under 40, I'm curious to know why. I've been following the Nats since they moved back to DC. I followed the Orioles prior to that, but never got into them too much since they are Baltimore's team.

No they weren't? They're Baltimore's home team, I can claim that they were the team I followed most closely due to geographical location but that never means I claimed them as my team.

WUT. I'm confused.

I was an Orioles fan since I was a kid because they were the closest to DC, but I'm also a Nats fan because they're now the "official" home team.

So. What does that make people from Baltimore, who rooted for the Redskins but now root for the Ravens?

D-Rave you can't cheer for the Nats because you were a O's fan first and you can not be a fan of Tupac becasue he died when you were only ten.

Come on get with the game!

lol <3

Sometimes I feel like that. Because the O's and the Nats are within 45 minutes of each other it has to be either or. And if it came down to choosing, I'd honestly choose the Nats just because.. Hell, their stadium is like 15 minutes from my house. Haha.

But when it comes down to choosing, it's actually really hard because I've had positive experiences with Orioles fans and Nats fans so. I don't like making that decision.

I haven't been to a Nats game yet though. I hear their games are pretty fun.
