The best thing Biden has going for him is he's not Trump.

Hopefully enough of Trump's base has been worn out from his antics and won't make the same mistake twice.

The other is ... the antithesis of that.

Joe Biden is not an attractive candidate, but the other option is literally the worst piece of shit to ever sit in the Oval Office. A sexist, racist, science-denying moron who openly admires the worst most brutal dictators on the planet, mocks the disabled, calls nazis good people, brags about sexually assaulting women, and fans the flames of racism and ignorance.

His removal from office cannot come soon enough.

Biden is just the pallet cleanser the country needs to calm everybody on both sides down. We just need 4 years of peace and quiet and boredom so the country can ... reset.

Hopefully 2024 will provide Democrats and Republicans BOTH better choices.

This is exactly how I've felt. We just need SOME semblance of normalcy, even if it's just someone who isn't controversial for a few years. I always measure government by how it's touched me directly in my life. Bush gave us stimulus checks, Obama gave us Cash for Clunkers and Drumpf (ugggh) gave us some checks as well. The one lingering effect from Drumpf is he taught us how to hate. You used to be able to talk to people and not get much of an indication whether they were liberal/conservative/Democratic/Republican, but now, within a few minutes of talking to someone, you can guess pretty quickly if they support Drumpf. Personally, I thought being PC swung a little too far to the left of the pendulum, but Drumpf made it fine to be a total fucking asshole.

My newest indication these days has been, "Man, I hate wearing these masks." It's the first thing someone says to me when I have to go out to buy something. It's a MINOR inconvenience. Fucking minor to do your part for everyone else. I digress...

If Clinton, my left testacle or hell, Ted Cruz got elected, we wouldn't hate each other as much as we do now. THAT'S on Trump. I used to think he was just a piece of shit, but I think he is pure evil.

He can't just lean on that though. Hillary made the same mistake, assuming people would be rational enough to give her the vote.

Biden really needs to present a plan, and show us exactly what he's going to do to help this country.

There was nothing irrational about not voting for Hillary Clinton. Talk about evil people. It's not voters fault that the Democrats ran such a terrible fucking candidate. That's on the democratic party.

Biden isn't a good candidate either. He has been in government forever. He is part of the problem. And he's going senile.

Trump is gonna win again. Not based on him being a great candidate just who he is running against.

In terms of Obama - Democrats have a revisionist history about Obama. He was not a uniter at all. He created more division than any president before him in my lifetime. So if you want to constantly bash on Trump for dividing us at least take an honest look back at Obama. This has been going on for more than the last 3/4 years.

Note - Letting politicians of any party have control over how we feel about others is terrible.

Biden also has the advantage of not being Hillary.

Depending on how much of a mess things are in 3 months who knows, maybe just showing up is enough for Biden.

I'd vote for a dog over 99% of candidates on both sides for any office. What kind?

Re: Joe Biden - Will he Really be Dem Candidate?

Is calling someone a dog-faced liar acting presidential?

Or does that only apply to who wins and becomes president? Or only to Republicans?

You've clarified more than once about these questions, so these are more rhetorical.

I suppose it's not, but we don't really need to try and compare Biden to Trump on the scale of "speaking before thinking" do we?
