Re: How would Campbell Fit?

I would say Shannahan simply because I don't think we run a true WCO and he's a master at it. I'd like Campbell to stay no matter what, maybe not as a starter, but as the 2nd or 3rd string.

Re: How would Campbell Fit?

With a top coach like Cowher, Shanahan or Holmgren, plus a solid offensive line, Campbell could easily be top-10 material, possibly a Pro Bowl reserve. Seriously.

Ranked #18 in the league now with linemen off the street (literally), injuries to his top two offensive weapons (Portis and Cooley) and a clown-car coaching approach.

You need to take off your Jason Campbell jersey. Seriously.

And the offense has looked BETTER w/out Portis and Cooley.

Amen to that! Just look at several good QBs NFL today (such as Brees and Saints), they all have great or best offense linemen.. I'm not saying that Campbell would be like Brees, Manning, Favre, or Brady but he definitely would be a level below them, which is still good thing.. Especially with the receivers we are having, if the 3 young guys continue to grow, then I'm definitely going to expect some good things for next season.. This definitely will help Campbell big time..

Although there might be a player who would slow us down next season, and it's Portis.. Don't get me wrong, I love him and the way he had dedicated himself in Redskins career but it's time, we overused him and now he's long in tooth.. We can keep him for passing plays or whatever, but we definitely need new #1 RB.. Whoever that is, Betts or somebody else..

Whether by choice or not, with Cooley out we are using more receivers on offense and getting them experience

Either one would not be a bad short term solution.

By being wider targets. This is why we need to play Haynesworth at WR.

By going up and getting the ball...for instance in the Broncos vs. Dallas game, Orton threw an awful ball that could have easily gotten picked, but B. Marshall made a play got the ball and ran the go ahead TD.

As someone said, most of the time a completion is partly due to the QBs throw but also the WR making a play. Only a few elite QBs can put the ball on the money the majority of the time (and we sure as hell don't have one).

Campbell throws accurately, more than you think, I believe.. Just look at his stats provided by Buster;

Rushkins made good point, as well.. Receivers have to work for ball sometimes..

I don't think he's that accurate, but his WR are not helping either. I just saw Brees throw a pass that was a bit behind one of his WRs, the wideout adjusted and caught the ball. Now, Drew Brees probably doesn't need much help from his wideouts, but it helps.

i know it does i'm not a campbell hater, but the people that love to wave his stats around like he is the next coming are kind of annoying, it's like saying we have the best team on paper, if you watch the game you can see otherwise
