I think if we lose against Oakland the season is done. I understand we would only be 0-4, but you're talking about having to then win I think at least 10 games to make the playoffs. 9 and 7 might do it but you are saying the team would only lose 3 more games.

Could we run the tables and go 12-4? Maybe. Any NFL history buffs know if a team has ever opened at 0-4 and went on to make the playoffs? What's the worst start to the season to still go to the playoffs? 0-6 and then win 10 straight games??

No team has ever gone 0-4 and made the playoffs. Only -2% of teams that have started 0-3 have ever made the playoffs.

I am afraid the skins have way too much structural problems to consider them as a contender for anything other than a mid round draft position.

The good news is that the NFC East is weaker than a rodent in the middle of the road. Is that enough, well, they have to win a game or two for us to even consider the possibility.

Now for my notes:

Note to Mike, I have no idea what you're doing and neither does anyone else.

Note to Kyel, they've figured you out!

Note to Haslett, nothing you call is likely to be effective. Try to be as effective as possible.

Note to Merriweather, you can't and probably shouldn't tackle with your head.

Note to Amerson, you're a rookie so you get a pass though that only lasts for so long.

Note to Hall, no one is back there to cover your ass and you're a bum.

Note to Wilson, you are the best DB we have but that's like saying saden1 is the best armchair coach on the warpath.

Note to Rambo, you ain't Rambo, you is Rammed.

Note RG3, keep your mouth shut and watch your back.

Note to Morris, I'm sorry.

Note to Trent, you had the worse game of your career last week and you better get your mofo hands out of your pockets.

Note to London, you can't coach bums.

Note to DL, if you can't stop a nosebleed then how do you expect to stop a RB?

Note to OL, you're doing a decent job in the second half.

Note to WR, you're doing a great job but try not to drop the ball, especially in the endzone!

That's all I got.

Thank goodness, because that was a lot of nonsensical BS...

You sound like the spoiled rich kid that just found out that you were cut off.

We got a taste of success last year, and now beginning the season with a little adversity everyone wants to cry about the struggles, point fingers, and pack it in...Sad really.

" Playoffs???!!?!! You're talking playoffs??!??!!"

This isn't the bad news bears we have here. This team is not making any sort of run for the playoffs. I wouldn't even trust them to make a run to the store and grab milk for my cereal.

I think it would be better served to have a giant whiteboard and begin deciding who is a skin next year and how to upgrade our weaknesses.
Last offseason was to show MWilliams the door as fast as humanly possible. This year it's Haslett and little junior shanahan needs a spanking over daddy's knee.
Damn this team is screwed from top to bottom. Next season doesn't even seem possible at this point.

Good call SS! You are correct.

I would add that just because no team has ever done something, that does not mean it can't be done. It just means that it hasn't happened YET.

I wish Czabe would stay out in Oakland too.

I agree. There is this couple on Extremeskins that organizes sendoffs and welcome homes for team for all the road games. They sit by the road and wave as they part and arrive. If they lose, I say we all meet up with them and stand on the other side of the road from them and give them all the middle finger....LOL We'll be the Yang to their Ying.

I don't care if you are the Redskins or the Broncos, if you lose the turnover battle and keep getting silly flags, you can't win. They have done that for all three weeks so far.

Agree. I dont know whats worse, the actual piss poor turnover or the coach the next couple days defending it as a decent play. Hopefully there is a little more accountabilty going on behind close doors. RG3's mistakes need to decrease in order for this team to win. And yeah the penalties are terrible. I just throw my hands up at this point because its been a hallmark of the Shanny regime.

I don't know, I though it was all an honest criticism. Perhaps you can enlighten me as to what you found nonsensical.

Yes, but should we do the math to show our chances to make the playoffs statistically are less than 1% if we go to 0-4. I don't disagree with any of your points, we go 0-4 Haslett needs to go and unless there's a drastic turn-around, clean the coaching house completely after the season.

BTW, good to see you posting and hope all is well with you and your family.
