Re: Texans Pre-Game Thread

The conditional 2023 pick is reason enough to keep playing Taylor. He would really have to play extremely awful for Wentz to get back in there any time soon.

If Ron is just trying to get whatever advantage comes with keeping the starter up in the air for the Texans, fine.

But if he's seriously considering going back to Wentz come on man! Gotta stick with the hot hand, it's a no brainer to keep TH in there.

They won't go back to Wentz. Unless TH has like 3 picks this week

You do no Logan was a starting QB for VT and has a pretty good arm.

Of course. But there is also a reason he plays TE now and Id rather see him return to being an offensive weapon at TE than start running trick plays as a qb

Im not opposed to SF’s idea of running some sort of play with Logan taking a snap but Logan was a damn good pass catching TE before his injury and I would love to get him more involved there.

Totally. Also Taylor would have to get hurt or screw up real bad to come out. I think if he starts the next couple games that the chances of Carson accounting for 70 percent of the snaps at qb are almost impossible and it would keep our conditional 2023 a third instead of a second. Not saying they will hold Carson out simply to keep the second but it is definitely in the minds of the decision makers.

I've wondered what has changed where is not getting the ball this year.

I would too. Taylor damn near ended his career on Monday with that one pass though and it is not the first time. i think those two have some trust issues they need to work out.

Its crazy too because it seems like a good pass catching TE would be Taylors best friend.
Not going to be double teamed or too far away for him to throw to consistently.

I hope we don’t screw this up but I have a feeling we will lose this game …

Well, TH isn’t afraid to throw into double (or triple) coverage. He should be, but he’s not.
