Re: Come up with a new name for the Redskins

Just reading up on the red wolf, it would be cool if the team threw some money towards conservation efforts if we do take on the name.

Team merch could be absolute fire too

They are amazing animals. They have a few at the Francis Marion National Forest in captivity they used to breed and release in Alligator River Area. My wife took some great photos of them that I need to see if I can find.

The reason I mentioned-Federals as a new name is because D.C.is the seat of the federal government or-Diplomats again Washington is about-diplomacy,all this crap about-wolves? when was the last time a wolf was seen in D.C.? hell just call em the -Werewolves,heck if you want an animal that's native to the city why not the Washington Rats..there're everywhere!!

Well if you want to get picky, there is no such animal as a Seahawk.

And I'm curious if the name William is exclusive enough to Buffalo?

How native are Bengal Tigers to Cincinnati?

We call them osprey or bay hawks in the Chesapeake area

Hate to ask, but does the fight song become "Howl like the Redwolves"?

Honestly it's a good excuse to bail as a fan if you're tired of Snyder and see no hope on the horizon. I loved the Rivera hire but if you go on history alone the odds lean heavily against him and in 5 years we'll be back to looking for a new HC. We've seen good coaches come and go and nobody has put together a winning record here. Odds are Rivera won't do it either.

That's why I'm seriously considering it because as long as Dan is owning the team nothing will really change. I just don't know who I'd root for

Same here.

I am no paragon of virtue, but I am loyal. I hated the Bullets>Wizards change, but they are still my team. I grew up an Os fan but being a DC boy, could not reject the Nats. So I root for them both which gets awkward when they play each other.

I like the Rams and the Packers but I have no roots in either place.

Our best chance was when the Ravens appeared.

Been to New Orleans several times and I've always rooted for them on the side. Great city and football town. They love their Saints and LSU Tigers.

I agree. RR was a barely above 500 (.546) head coach with a team that's not even close to being as screwed up as this one. I doubt he does much here and will be another coaching washout like all the rest. If Haskins is a bust he wont last 5 years.

I think the name change will inject a shot of energy into the organization and fanbase but it will only be a temporary boost. Ultimately the team has to win and as long as Snyder is at the top winning wont happen.
