Re: 2017 Draft Prospects
I simply would not draft guys like Brantley or Mixon. I'm fine if guys get in trouble maybe with weed or a DUI. It's obviously stupid but young guys are going to screw up like a lot of us did when we were that age. But the one thing I can not accept is beating up women. If a women is pissing you off just walk away or dump them. In the Mixon video the girl and her friend walked away and went into a bar or restaurant and Mixon followed them in there. Why?? That shows me he has no restraint or discipline. How are these guys going to act once they have cash? Both are undraftable.

Re: 2017 Draft Prospects
I usually watch the entire 2nd and 3rd rounds too.[/QUOTE]
The first round has become an event; a show for TV. The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th rounds are where the bread is buttered. It is what builds depth and, when lucky, can yield a bonafide starter/star. Those rounds are just more intriguing to me now because of all the pomp & circumstance associated with round 1. The "other" rounds are where great football teams are built. Just my opinion. HTTR |

100% agree. The NFL and its hype machine does it better than anyone else.

Re: 2017 Draft Prospects
Per Ian Rapoport@RapSheet: 5 days pre-draft, #Florida DT prospect Caleb Brantley was charged in a 4/13 incident with misdemeanor assault, knocking a woman's tooth out

Second, it is stupid as hell. I no longer want this guy on my favorite team & I really don't care if he ever plays in the NFL. Screw him. These dudes need to get their testosterone (or whatever else they may be ingesting) under control. |

They'll take him whether he can stay out of jail or not. Maybe they'll give him a babysitter like they did with that useless receiver they have that can't hold on to the ball.

Re: 2017 Draft Prospects
With the likelihood that a number of highly-rated players will fall in the draft due to their poor character, the door is now wide open for Danny and Smithers to orchestrate an all-POS draft.
Round 1 - Dalvin Cook Round 2 - Gareon Conley Round 3 - Caleb Brantley etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc., etc.

Re: 2017 Draft Prospects
From NFL Network -
UCLA linebacker Takkarist McKinley is another prospect who has drawn medical concerns from teams ahead of the draft. He underwent shoulder surgery following the NFL Scouting Combine to repair a torn labrum and fix a glenoid fracture. Teams have different evaluations on McKinley -- some believe he has a chance to be ready for the season, but according to many, the belief is he'll start the year on non-football injury (NFI) list and have to miss six games as a result
