Sure, if Manning comes here, do you think that Wayne comes too?

I think he has a year or two left in him with Peyton as a QB.

I dont think so, only player likely to come would be Saturday at C as a FA.

Garcon wouldnt be bad. Wayne is bout done.

I don't know if I agree about Wayne. He dropped 400 yards from Peyton to the garbage he had throwing to him all year and he almost put up 1000 again. Now I know I'm coming across as a Peyton proponent, but I really am just all about keeping draft picks, improving (not solving unless some miracle happens) the QB position and building quality depth.

We have a bit of cap space to work with and unless we're targeting a HUGE FA besides Manning, I think we could afford it.

Done is probably not the right word. I just wouldnt want several players declining together on the offense. I really wouldnt want to sign Saturday, but I think he is more likely player to come over with Manning. Im for a veteran presence at the Receiver position, Moss is on his way out most likely, so it makes since for Gaffney to step into that role. With that being said, WR position still needs to be addressed this offseason.

While that may have been true at times, SS and staff could never figure out how to protect the QB in 2003. Sack totals did not reflect the extent of the pounding that poor Ramsey took that season. I think SS developed his game plans while locked in aforementioned laundry closet, or he drew up his plays in his oatmeal at the gameday breakfast. What a disaster that was!

I think the Shanaclan has pass protection in good order; we need a little more depth on the offensive line, and Redskins should be solid in that area of the game regardless of who plays QB.
My blood runs cold when I think of that clownshoe Spurrier

Spurrier will forevermore live as the "What's this" guy, in reference to hail.

Well I'm not saying we're going to sign him, but I am saying what I've already told you. We've got an eye on this situation and would definitely be interested in bringing him to compete

Who?

I'll take Manning or Orton and a drafted prospect over Clausen...just never liked the guy as an NFL caliber QB.

Who does Carolina have behind Clausen? What incentive do they actually have to get rid of him?

Somewhere, Vinny Cerrato is rubbing his hands furiously together while letting out a cackling cry of glee.

Ugh... I guess this is somewhat of a vindication of Vinny Cerrato if we end up picking up Clausen. That sucks. Though, I guess Vinny felt Clausen could be a starting caliber player right out of the gate. Shanny and Kyle seem to understand that Clausen is purely backup grade material.

The fact he wasn't even activated for a single game last year speaks volumes really. That said, I think Mike/Kyle will kick the tires on many QBs. Hell, they even brought JaMarcus Fail in for a spin. Ugghhh.

Stuck down here in Panthers territory, I saw Clausen more than anyone would ever want to see him, except perhaps his mother. He seems to lack some of the basic skills required to play QB in the NFL. Does not read the def well, does not seem to see the obvious, slow delivery, not very good on the deep ball, does not have escapability from the pocket, and does not have field presence (just does not look confident). Rex wins competition against him, hands down. Clausen is really closer to Beck than Grossman.
