Re: 2024 Commanders Off-Season Thread
We may not be able to get our fabulous Redskins logo back but we can surely go back to our true team colors. I would ask the new owners to give us that much.
We need to get as many of our team traditions back as we can to raise our spirits. That's one reason we could use a two syllable team name. With that change, we can smoothly revive our team fight song, "Hail to the (two syllable) new team name". Just change a few lyrics to make it fit. Pair that with an impressively loud team band (another tradition) and the fans will sing it happily after every score. The W on the helmet feels legit to me. No redesign for the W is needed. I would definitely not like a C on it. To be honest, I still think the name Commanders has got to go. I don't think I'll ever get used to it. That's because Snyder gave us fans the finger when he ignored the name we voted for and then demanded his own clumsy branding, and it still sticks in my craw. I want to give him the finger right back by asking the current owners to adopt another, better team name.

Re: 2024 Commanders Off-Season Thread
I think the feathers shirt-gate highlighted displeasure with the name and brand…moved it from the back burner. Like it or not, message has been sent
It needs to go sooner rather than later

Yes, it certainly has and yes sooner rather than later should be the choice.

I couldn't be happier with shirt Gate lol I dunno about a C tho... I'd keep the W above most else sans our logo.

@AlGaldi
The #Commanders with Adam Peters, Lance Newmark, Eugene Shen, Dave Gardi and now Brandon Sosna and David Blackburn are building an absolute powerhouse of a front office. Outstanding to see. |

Re: 2024 Commanders Off-Season Thread
Is anyone else a little surprised that Jason Peters and Mayhew were retained with the current regime? Honestly though both would be goners after the Snyder era or at least after the Rivera era.

(Jason Wright?) At first, yes. But these are big organizations that need to keep functioning during transitions. Plus they are useful in other ways to the new regime. Over time, just like water, they will settle to their rightful level. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Mayhew and AP worked together before so no it's not a big surprise.
