Re: Game ball Skins-49ers

My game ball goes to Lavar, although the circumstances are a bit unusual. I'm not giving him the GB because of his performance against the niners, which was a very strong showing. He gets the game ball in my book for turning the 'tude around and deciding to play ball with the rest of team- preparing for the game properly and putting in good practices leading up to the game. Hopefully this will be an indication of things to come with Lavar working with the coaches and doing what is expected of him.

Re: Game ball Skins-49ers

I picked Sellers just because I never would have expected a 2 TD, great special teams tackles performance from him.

Every week the offensive line is the bread and butter of the team. If Jansen can stymie Strahan like he has in the past, I LOVE our chances.

I just don't want Pierce having a "career day" against the Skins.

Re: Game ball Skins-49ers

As much as I wanted to give it to LaVar because he is the man and had a great game, I gave it to Portis because we've been waiting all season for this and he finally delivered.

Re: Game ball Skins-49ers

I'll give it to LaVar. He really seemed to have alot of energy that people just fed off of. Its really hard to pick one person, because I cant think of anyone who had even a remotley bad day. Onto NY....

I went with Portis - it's amazing that no one has voted for Moss. I guess 100+ yards and a TD is just another day at the office...

Re: Game ball Skins-49ers

I probably should've picked sellers, but I clicked on Portis because he finally got into the endzone thrice, and I was impressed that he didn't stay in the game and go for the 5000 yard stats. He said in the locker room interview he wasn't aware of it, but you can bet he was...

It was very nice to see lavar out there. Thats gonna do alot not just for the D, but also for Washington, when they're scared of one of em, the other has a better chance of getting in there. They're both playmakers, but I think they're gonna feed off each other and we'll have the absolute best linebacking corps in the league.

Gotta be Protis for me. He set everything up by gashing them all day. Nothing like 12 or 13 6+ yard runs to put crappy corners on islands they couldn't cover with sand.

I went Lavar........way to fight through the adversity and remind the world what Lavar can do. But then again, I'm completely biased.

Re: Game ball Skins-49ers

If I was giving out game balls, I would need a basket full. Everything was working yesterday. First of all, the whole offensive line deserves a game ball. Brunnel had plenty of time to look downfield and the run blocking was superb. They looked like the Hogs yesterday. Portis had 100 yds, then Betts had almost 100 yds and then Cartwright got in some good runs. Man I think even I could run behind that blocking. My second game ball would go to Levar Arrington for inspiring the defense. The defense has been good this year, I think they can be great with "56" flying to the ball. Honorable mentions go to Brunnel, Portis, Moss, Sellers, Washington, Taylor and the entire coaching staff.

Re: Game ball Skins-49ers

Lavar!!! Portis and Moss could get one too. But having Arrington back on the field yesterday made me happy.

Re: Game ball Skins-49ers

Portis he has put up the yards all season and has not realy received his due credit sense he has not scored. So the game ball is his and I hope he gets alot more as the season rolls on. I would have voted for Moss but he only had a little over a 100 yards and only two TDS. He can do better than that and we need him to step up. LOL

The way Moss has been playing, he had an off day yesterday LOL. Seroiusly though, theres just too many people to choose from. We havent had a win like that in a long, long time.
