I think we trade down to anywhere between 15- 18 and pick up a third. We then draft Guice

You listed 7 guys. Figuring the first 6 picks are 3qbs and the 3 elites, clearly one of those guys is there at 13. But likely 2 more qbs go and 1 or two surprise picks. If so we could try to drop 3-4 spaces. Add in a wr or 2 and we can drop to 21 and still get one of those guys.

Why not drop to 32 or the second round? One of them might drop that far. By suggesting we could drop to 21 and still get a stud, you've gone from drafting to playing the lottery.

Obviously on draft day they will know what picks were made and how many places they could drop.

Who I want: Derwin James or Da'Ron Payne

Who I think it will end up being: Derrius Guice or Vita Vea

Most disappointed if they take: Trumaine Edwards

Pipedream: Barkley or Nelson

Shameless self-promotion. It is what it is.

You & me bro on the same wavelength. Being a tech fan, I like the edwards a lot...I just don’t know how he will deal with constant size of nfl d lines.

I did not realize what a special athlete Derwin James is. The guy easily double pumps reverse dunks in hoops all day, has huge leaping ability, with really great football instincts. His tackling is rock solid. He can play FS or SS.
At 6' 3" he will fill in and be a big center fielder. Can play in the slot.
He is fast 4.4 in the 40. I was watching him return kick offs and he has another gear he kicks into and out runs everyone.

I think he's going to be an NFL star. He's one of those special players the Skins might not be able to pass up in order to trade down. Of course, the Skins management may not agree with us.

Seminoles to Redskins, I can dig it. Next Chris Thompson. He can play deep or drop down and play slot/cover TEs. Would definitely be a solid pick if he falls to 13.

It is insane that a special athlete and talent like Derwin James might be available to us at 13. Because all of the QB desperate teams are going to reach and probably bust with QB's that really are not rated top 5 athletically.
It is sad, but in our case a good thing that the glamour positions like QB take all of the headlines.
IF we take need completely out of our draft process Derwin might be our man.
I was watching clips of his tackling and he is incredibly disciplined. Text book. He does it old school, the way you are taught. But that kind of detail is missed in today's NFL. Sacks, Interceptions and big hits behind the line is all you see on defensive players highlight reels.
