If something like this would destroy the kids self esteem then they allready have issues. If this happened to me as a child we would just go back and egg her house and get the last laugh. Or maybe they could do this on her front porch.

The Pie-Eating Contest - Stand by Me (3/8) Movie CLIP (1986) HD - YouTube
Not everyone has a strong backbone and you also can't assume what's going on in a kid's life at the time which could already be contributing to their self-esteem issues. Things like this could be just adding to their current issues.

Parents themselves DO need to take accountability for the health of their children and if some screwball lady has a problem with that, take it up with the parents one-on-one.

The kids themselves need support from the community not random village idiots tearing them down.

Ok , just a little past 8 pm here in Waldorf Maryland and trick and treating is over ,we had around 125 kids still have candy left over which will be given away at work .Thing is not many kids ...pretty much none were over weight ,my wife (a teacher) and I were keeping notice so had that women lived here she would not only be an ass ...but wrong also .

Why would you egg her house ,you said children who have a problem with her letter already have issues , and children who answer that letter with vandalism have anger issues and other problems , so you are admitting to being one of those children who would be upset about the letter . hmmm .

Re: Trick Or Treat

We get no kids at our place at all. Sucks.

At our first house we would get hammered all night, it was always fun to see the kids.

Me neither. Now I'm gonna eat all the candy I bought. I have zero will power.

Re: Trick Or Treat

It rained last night so we didn't get many kids. We put our candy in ziplock bags to make it more organized and so that kids don't do the whole, "you got more than I did" thing.

We handed out about 30-40 bags. Not many.

Re: Trick Or Treat

I accidentally bought pumpkin spice Hersey's kisses and they are TERRIBLE, but for some reason I keep eating them. However, I dropped one in my coffee this morning and that was actually not too bad.
