Re: Lavar Tribute
seriously just chill big man
hahaha...hogan... plus lavar will always be a redskin...he said he couldn't see himself wearing a cowboy uniform and he's classy guy the money doesn't matter as shown w/ the 4million we owed him plus he is thinkin about joinin antonio pierce in NYG. you don't have to prove yourself as a skins fan even if you hated a redskin. just because he's not a redskins anymore doesn't mean you can't like him. D. Green isn't on the skins still my favorite redskin. |

Re: Lavar Tribute
why don't you put the highlight when he scored the td vs. carolina when they were 0-5 and he turned the season around, or maybe when he scored a td to beat the cowboys

Re: Lavar Tribute
I hope he goes to Dallas. You know Parcells wont put up with him when he cries. Plan and simple Lavar saw the writing on the wall. He knew he could not play here or did not want to work as hard as he had to, to be good. Thats is why he said that they can mold someone else. It is amazing how he said all this love about the Skins and not wanting to play else where or retire, then gets a change of heart. You can not tell me it was about money. It will hit him what a mistake he made when he is wearing a Cowpukes uniform walking out to play at Fed Ex. I think his burgandy blood is dried up.

Re: Lavar Tribute
Actually Lavar's most memorable play was the interception TD return vs. Carolina to end our 5 game losing streak and begin a 5 game winning streak under Schotty.

Re: Lavar Tribute
Let's hate on the only player that stayed on the team when we were terrible. Jansen, Samuels, and LA the only players that have stuck around. Even when there was an internal conflict LaVar didn't pull a TO and make it a distraction. When he left he payed back money to help the team. **** the haters

Re: Lavar Tribute
I like Lavar but I do think he was marginally overrated for us. Not that he doesn't have the talent to be a HOFer LB but one could hardly argue that in even his best seasons he was on his way to HOF. I still think the guy could be a monster LB in the mold of an every down play-maker like Ray Lewis was in his prime but he needs to work on some things to get there and I wonder seriously if he even realizes what his difficiencies are. I hope he goes on to be the LB he was here earlier or better as long as it isn't in the NFC.

Re: Lavar Tribute

Re: Lavar Tribute
I would be an obvious choice to do a video LaVar tribute, but I cannot waste my time on an ex-Redskin. I loved LaVar, but my feelings are so confused I can't do it. LaVar had some great plays. The four plays that stand out to me are:
#4 LaVar stuffs Curtis Martin in the JetSkins game. #3 Lavar's INT in the TB playoff game. #2 LaVar ends Aikman's career. #1 LaVar returns an INT against the Panthers and saves Marty's job. |

Re: Lavar Tribute
It would be interesting to see how many highlights vs how many out of position mistakes he had. I suspect many more of the latter.
