Re: new thread probation
This is nothing new.
Happens every off-season ("Can we draft him? Him? Him? Him? Him? Him?"), after every loss ("Fire the coach, bench the QB!") and whenever any player gets in trouble anywhere in the league ("hey y'all, think we should get him?") Of course, the Ramsey and Lavar threads will NEVER EVER DIE either. You're right about people needing to use their eyeballs and brains though. |

Re: new thread probation
And in those cases, one of the moderators will either merge the two threads and update the title or lock the speculation thread with a note indicating that the story is outdated. And if it's a confirmed story then we direct people to the new thread with the latest information.
But if you have multiple speculation threads, or multiple confirmed threads on the same topic those are duplicates.

Re: new thread probation
Mod's I have a lot of new posts, but I haven't gotten to 10 yet I work 2 jobs have a 10 yr old and 2 yr old so I jump on when I can...But I'd like to talk more about personnel maybe things like are we going to keep R. Caldwell he really produced on those sideline out plays and looks to be valuable in that aspect, what's going on with Marcus the rb on practice squad ?, he runs with purpose and looks hungry , that's what we need hungry player's ...what do ya think? We don't seem to keep players long enough for them to get into a grove I'm still reeling from A Pierce, and so is he ....

Re: new thread probation
Well, I am the first one who was begging for something like this.... but I hope that people get warnings ... not just in the threads, but in PM's.... Would hate to be kicked off of here... I just love everyone on here so much... I mean... your like family to me... I just love everyone....:vomit:
OK... maybe that was to much to shovel... but I do hope warnings are given.

Re: new thread probation
I'm just clarifying here. Is this probation something that will eventually allow you to post new threads again if you shape up? I'm just thinking people would want to know that there is some kind of warning system or whatever.

Re: new thread probation
Hey Matty I don't think I am asking the right question. Do the Mods let say some new eager person know that they are skating on thin ice before they get a very important privilege revoked for good?

Re: new thread probation
It depends. We'll look at all situations on their own. I'm not saying anyone who posts a duplicate or questionable thread is going to get dinged. We typically try to give everyone a chance to straighten out.

Re: new thread probation
Got it. I was just kind of concerned about new people who want to contribute, but just don't quite get it and are maybe a little to eager to make a new thread which ends up being a weak thread. Not worried of course about the ones who are just plain out of control.
