Good for him for creating a career off of the second best tight end on the team.

Funny you say that, I was going to create a thread about how I thought FD was better than CC but was scared of having to deal with the MCCF (Man Crush Cooley Fans).

Springs said that the only day they covered him was the day he slept in.

It seems to me that NOBODY can cover this guy. If Jason had any time I firmly believe he could put up Gonzalez and Gates type numbers.

He's already putting up those numbers, What could he do with a running game and a QB with time...

Davis has a world of talent no doubt, and his upside looks tremendous. Comparing Cooley to Davis right now though, CC is clearly much more polished overall.

More polished yes, but thats what you expect with a 5 year veteran. If Davis continued as the #1 TE for the next 3 years, I think we all agree he'd easily surpass Cooley. If compensation were equal and there's no salary cap next year, there is no question Cooley would be the one traded.

No doubt about this but Davis' physical abilities are off the charts compared to Cooley. Cooley is pretty close to his ceiling while Davis may just be scratching the surface.

Some people forget, he was the #1 receiving option for a USC team that was arguably the best in the nation.

I wish Davis had caught that first touchdown.... Then we never would have had to see that idiotic fake field goal.

It would have been a very difficult catch. Watching the replay, it looked like he was looking at the goal line and not making sure he secured the ball. Still, a very close call. he ALMOST had it.

Definitely a tough catch but he had it for a second... I had a faint glimmer of hope when it was in his hands.
