Some fans will when RG3 has his struggles during the year.

Re: Redskins at Bears Post Game Thoughts

My thoughts

Cousins is starting up the QB controversy

Brandon Banks is still going to get cut--its the same thing every year; return a kickoff/punt for a TD make the team and don't return anything for a TD during the season.

Alfred Morris is another great Shanahan back

Briscoe is making the team

Niles Paul had a crucial drop that stuck out to me more than his TD catch

Cedric Griffin got burned all night--no surprise there

Our OL is a bigger weakness than our secondary.

Re: Redskins at Bears Post Game Thoughts

Cousins looked very sharp, still want him to be #3 for this year. But, as a long time advocate of getting two young QBs here I'm glad we now have them.

RG3 needs to focus some more on his ball security when he's on the move

Briscoe and Robinson extended the gap between them and Banks, AA, Austin for the #5 and #6 spots.

Paulsen's making a case to be on the roster. Would almost say he's a lock

Nickle cornerback is a concern. Someone needs to claim it

I thnk Crawford is attempting to throw his hat into that particular ring.

Agree with Paulson making the team. From Shanny's comments, I am thinking you have nailed it as to Robinson and Briscoe.

If Paulson makes the team, who goes - Paul or Cooley?

Paul. Sorry but the guy can't catch and when you're an undersized TE that was converted from WR thats priority number 1. I'm pretty sure he's a decent blocker but if blocking is his saving grace he'll loose when compared to Paulsen.

Plus Cooley has the added bonus of being able to slide into the fullback position in a pinch if an injury occurs.

It seemed to me that Paulson blocked better then Cooley and Davis. As far as Paul being undersized as a TE, I might argue that statement. To me he seemed to have bulked up and I'd say he was either an over sized WR or someone better suited for the TE position, but as others have said he just is not catching anything and didn't as a WR either.

Well thats why Paulsen even made the team in the first place back in 2010. Skins were looking for a blocking TE when Shanny came to town, someone that could help on goal line situations as well as special teams and they found Paulsen. He's basically been a poor mans Jay Riemersma/Kyle Brady up to this point.

Right here it has already started.

This should be the only concern after pre season week 2.........Not a qb controversy - do you know what RG-3 would have done to the second team defense?? -

I heard on the radio that Orakpo has a shoulder strain with an MRI coming, but Lorenzo Alexander said he heard it was scar tissue and nothing serious from the torn pectoral from last year. I guess the one man gang is an orthopedist now?

And Merriweather is still the ambiguous "knee strain." Could be nothing, could be done for the year.

Someone wants Paul on this team, which is why he's moved to TE

It is an experiment - a necessary one with Cooley a question mark, and Davis off the field trouble - if he keeps dropping balls it doesnt matter who wants him where

He had a couple of nice grabs. Sure he dropped a tough 3rd down catch, but I don't think he did killed his chances.
