gibbs II would have punted, he rarely trusted shazaam to make a 50 yarder especially in a close game where a miss gives the opposing team great field position in a one possession game.

I liked both the calls. On the series before the half,I absolutely did not want us to run another play.Have you seen us this yr? JC would have been sacked and the clock would have run out.On the draw play,I liked that call also, sometimes that play breaks, sometimes it doesnt. If Jc is sacked on any one of those plays,we dont even attempt a fg,and lets face it,with this patchwork off line that is a VERY real possibility on every play.Furthermore if Jc is sacked on either one of those plays your screaming "we should have just kicked it,or we should have run it" Shuisham has to make those kicks, especially the 50 yarder.Thats what you do,get paid to make game winning fgs,and 50 yrders are not that long in todays NFL,he has the leg, theres no wind and its indoors, wtf!make the kick

So you're cool with coaching and calling the game scared.. Gotcha.. At some point you have to try to win games, not hope to avoid losing them.

Re: Smoot Lays the Smack Down (Redskins vs.Cowboys)

i would rather the skins punted the ball instead of trying to kick a 50 yard fg. long missed field goals almost always lead to the other team getting points (i'd love to see some stats on that). i knew the skins would run that draw play on 3rd down (horrible and very predictable call) i also knew the skins would miss the long fg and dallas would then drive down and score. the outcome of that game was so predictable.

A very enjoyable review to a lousy game! SS just coined a new term LOL at least haven't heard anyone say it before.

...today's offense looked a lot like Zorn's offense i.e. pre-Sherm Lewis.

Oh, and those God-awful all burgundy uniforms. Enough of those, please.

Agreed. I dislike it when we wear either all burgundy or all white. We are the B&G - how hard is it to put on burgundy jerseys and gold pants?

Maybe. But my argument wasn't in terms of what uniforms we were wearing won/loss. Mine was a fashion argument: what looks good?

No smack for Orakpo? He's been a beast this year, but he had Romo in his hands twice yesterday in huge situations and whiffed on both.

He didn't have him by much, not like he lost a wrapup.. Romo is one of the best sack eluders out there, he often makes single people miss

No, it was burgundy jerseys/white pants for that game. The only other time we wore burgundy on burgundy was the "home" game against Pittsburgh last year.

They are 0-2 in those unis and they're awful. I hope we NEVER see those again.
