Re: Around the NFL Week 9

Geno Atkins of the Bengals tore his ACL in last nights game. Thats going to be a huge loss for the Bengals. He was turning into one of the best DL in the league. He wasnt even rolled onto. Just planted his foot while an OL was pushing against him and he went down.

Cincy blown 2 double digits leads of late, they got more problems than just losing Atkins.

there are a lot of times where acl injuries look like turf gremlins. dude just collapses -> ACL. like when jansen just stopped in the open field and fell down.

I think I recall Pierson Prioleau on opening kickoff of 1st game of a season his knee gave way on our turf.

Sucks for Atkins and the bengals Defense losing teir CB too. Sucks for the fans who want to see January football.

This league is so soft nowadays. What is he going to develop an eating disorder? Still, probably would be an upgrade over Tyler.

Please don't tell me you don't want him on the team, just because he couldn't take the bullying?

I think this says lot about Miami team, no one tried to stand up for him and stop the bullying? Come on, it's just as if they all are teenagers

LOL. No, you're not. And I did see your story. Probably should have replied to your post. Thought this piece expanded on things just a little bit

I don't think Dalton is a franchise QB

Dalton is a good QB, but I agree that he isnt a franchise QB. He has most of the tools necessary except the strong arm. I think Green makes him better than he is since he has won quite a few jump balls for him, but he cant throw deep that well and he doesnt throw the out patterns well. Easy to jump those from him due to arm strength. He makes good reads and good decisions, but I think he will end up like Hasselbeck, an above average QB but not a great one.

Yeah Hasselbeck is a good comparison. Gutsy and heady guy, but doesn't necessarily have the greatest physical tools.

Re: Around the NFL Week 9

Finally a good NFLN game, although I ran out of gas and missed the ending.
