T think were they go and the systems they are put in is half the reason for success or failure. Imagine Brady or Purdy being drafted by the Redskins neither would have got a chance and they would have faded into history.

Call me a hater. We had 2 objectives, get a QB, good job. Get a starting LT, or at least starting after a few games. FAIL. So yes, I am pissed. The rest of the picks can be argued on merit, but we failed the prime directive.

I just can't stomach the idea of going into another season of rookie qb + shitty o line combo again. Hoping for the best.

Only pick I don’t get is newton. Reminds me of the Mathis pick a few years ago drafting a surplus of interior when we are deficient elsewhere.

As far as ignoring needs yes, as far as comparing him to Mathis coming out no.

Newton is an absolute beast and will be a great and dominant player here. It is crazy he was there at 36. Had to do it.

I was just referring to he is a luxury not a direct comparison of the talent.

On aside I did enjoy the analysis of Coleman and his ability to position flex. A part of me had to laugh at that after years of Ron

Re: Commanders 2024 NFL Draft Thread

So 5th round anyone have any targets/hopes? WHo is dropping? (Ok I'm being lazy years ago I'd know exactly who I'd want but last 4 years my interest level has dropped substantially.

Edit- After a quick survey how about Austin Booker DE (3rd round prospect falling or Jermiah Trotter ILB (4th round prospect)?

Don't know much bout this pick. Looks quick, decent in coverage and seemingly can tackle.

They must have liked Magee over Trotter Jr.

Christian Jones would be a good pick here...

Yeah like the CB pick the other guy was rated higher. I just wish the picks weren’t going to the eagles in case we are wrong.

Hampton is a good safety and probably the late round secondary pick that peters has been known to hit on. Hopefully. Thought Brade would be the pick because Maryland. There were, again, higher rated S’s but like you keep saying Chief they must like Hampton better.
