Not so fast.

Eagles release former Pro Bowl DE Jason Babin - SB Nation Philly

After reading this, I want no part of this guy on our team.

Where would Babin play? He isn't a proto 3-4 DE and we're not signing to him move to OLB for 5 games when he doesn't play the position. Babin makes zero sense for us.

Babin fits the prototypical 3-4 OLB size. He is a pass rusher. Put him in on passing downs, hand in the dirt or standing up.

Babin is a 4-3 rush end, no fit for him here.

You don't just bring in a guy to play a position he has never played before. If you bring in a hybrid 4-3DE/3-4OLB you bring him in at camp so he can learn to play the position. Come on people.

ESPN said he has and can play either. I don't know if he did the 3-4 in college or what. Also a pass rusher is a pass rusher. Kerrigan will put his hand in the dirt at times on 3rd down. Just put Babin out there on passing downs

I agree with this especially with RG3 looking like he can give us leads and force offenses to be 1 dimensional against us.

He's been a 4-3 end his entire career in the NFL.

This is about as good of an idea as taking Jason Taylor and sticking him as an OLB.

Lol! Exactly! And his attitude sucks and he hasn't played worth a s**t this year. Yeah sign him up. Sounds like a great idea.

Huh? If you call 36 tackles and 5 sacks with the Jets good? Then you and me differ greatly in our perceptions of good.

Pretty sure you can get that kind of performance out of any average-above average linebacker in the league.
