Re: ALEX SMITH and moving forward.
Hadn't seen this quote from AS about what he said to his agent, but I love it:

Re: ALEX SMITH and moving forward.
I just want the Alex Smith of last year, not the one that didn't throw a td to a wr for an entire season.

Re: ALEX SMITH and moving forward.
Why in the hell would a Chiefs fan be bitter towards Smith? Hell no. They got Mahomes. If there is a Chiefs fan anywhere in the world who is bitter about Smith leaving Id like to meet him. So i can smack him. Lol Look, and this is not particularly directed at u Okie, but at all the people who think we are a better team with Smith at the helm..... We have a vastly improved defense. We have vastly improved special teams. We have a run game for the first time in a while. Those are the reasons we are 11-3. Not Alex fucking Smith. In no way does not having a deep ball game make you a better team. |

ALEX SMITH and moving forward.
Quote:
It is not the 2018 Redskins because we have a D, a run game, and our special teams don’t turn special anymore. They execute. Im just not sure why there is this fallacy out there that none of that would be possible if we didn’t have a quarterback who was conservative out of necessity. He cannot do anything besides a real quick pass. I expected him to use his legs to keep plays alive and let our underwhelming wr’s - who were just as bad last year mind you - get separation. He doesn’t though. He rarely uses his legs at all. It doesn’t even have to be the deep ball, but he cannot hit alot of the intermediate stuff. Doesn’t even really try. If we do finish with some amazing record and it is done the same way we have won these 6 than I still want a quarterback. He does not change our defense. Three and outs hurt our defense and I think we are seeing that as the season grinds on. They get gassed. He does not change our special teams other than allowing Way to showcase his punting ability. AP or Guice when he comes back should be better if people were afraid of the passing game but they are not. It just doesn’t have to be a good d, run game, and st’s with no pass game or a pass game with none of the rest. Lol. Forget Cousins, ok, any quarterback that can help our pass game would be lethal with the way the rest of our team is playing. He would help the rest of the team be even better because of all the reasons I mentioned above. Look all I care about is winning really but winning consistently and beating good teams is just not realistic with a one dimensional offense. Look around the league. Saints, Rams, Chiefs, Steelers, Chargers, Bears even with Trubisky, Pats, Texans, Vikes. Those are the best teams and they all have quarterbacks that can throw it. We might have a banner day on defense or with the run and take one of them out but if we played those teams over and over we all know what the results would be and we all know why. |

Re: ALEX SMITH and moving forward.
There's just something about about Alex Smith that makes you want to pull for the guy. I think we're in good hands the next few seaaons.

Re: ALEX SMITH and moving forward.
Cousins took less money to be on a Super Bowl contender rather than a terrible Jets team. Makes sense to me

Re: ALEX SMITH and moving forward.
Yeah it does make sense to Kirk Cousins. As really Jets has a rookie under center. May had if Teddy was under center for Jets, they would had Sam learning.

Re: ALEX SMITH and moving forward.
look he may suck hair meatballs right now but he's not turning it over and we are getting wins, which is what we will settle for and should be content... not overly happy or excited obviously, but content with 6-3? yes.

Re: ALEX SMITH and moving forward.
Alex was pretty good against TB. His TD pass was as good as it gets back there. Missed a couple deep balls but overall I'd say a B-
