Re: Nat's and O's - 2010 MLB Season
Just saw on the Nationals' Facebook page that Matt Capps has been traded to the Twins for catcher Wilson Ramos, and left-hander Joe Testa.
Not that you all didn't know this already.

Nationals Journal - The Matt Capps-Wilson Ramos trade from all angles
Good recap of the trade and the ramifications on each level. Including Flores' going back to square one in his rehab.

Re: Nat's and O's - 2010 MLB Season
I like the catching side of the Capps trade, but that reliever we got can't even make it out of single A, I don't know what the hell is wrong with him, but we needed a catcher so it definitely seems like a good pickup.
Bryce Harper on his facebook is talking about going back to CSN to win a National Championship. That little 17 year old bastard better sign with us.

Re: Nat's and O's - 2010 MLB Season
i think bryce harper has some mental and behavior issues, not that every kid his age doesnt.
last nights Os game was purty sweet. bought that time of the season i love. any weekday or weeknight game you can now buy 8 buck tickets then end up in 80 dollar tickets by the 4th-5th inning. at some point this year i will be sitting in those 2 very first front row seats right behind home plate where you are on tv the entire game.

Yeah, but his agent isn't the best when it comes to this stuff either.

Re: Nat's and O's - 2010 MLB Season
who boras? well, if you all dont sign harper you will probably get what? a comp pick probably in the top 10 along with whatever first round pick you get for your W-L record.
then, hell, if you let adam dunn walk he would be considered a level 1 free agent and you would get another comp pick at the end of the 1st round. you could be looking a 3 1st round picks if you dont sign harper and let dunn walk. i personally am hoping for that 3rd baseman from vandy, please please please be a longoria type. josh bell can be moved back to the outfield, DH or start the transition to 1st base since garret atkins sucked it up.

Re: Nat's and O's - 2010 MLB Season
I was reading yesterday that since he joined the majors five years ago, he leads the MLB in walk-off homeruns with seven. Who knew?!

Re: Nat's and O's - 2010 MLB Season
Really doesn't surprise me to be honest, guy is a beast in the bottom of the 9th, you ask for the homer and most of the time you get it. He's already had two or three this season I think.

Wow, 8 out of 10 for the Os.
They're supposed to be wearing these throwbacks tonight:

Re: Nat's and O's - 2010 MLB Season
Love how Strasburg said, "If he doesn't want to be here, we don't want him here" in reference to Harper. Dude showing the role of a leader, even though we all know this team is Ryan Zimmermans.
