Calling a flag on a great football play is just ridiculous. (shake head)

Re: Griffin vs luck game day thread

I actually liked RG3 erring on the side of caution in throwing the deep ball a little long. Last season, Rex would just throw it up for our recievers to make a play on a defender, and we usually lost that matchup. We had nobody like Calvin Johnson to lay it up to.

Now if Garcon, Morgan, Brisco? demonstrate they can win those matchups consistently...

Hankerson let up and then started running again and should have had his deep ball, not a big deal though, I liked that they called them. Agree about Jump balls, Fred Davis in particular has the size and athleticism to go get those and last year they were clearly trying to use him in a hybrid TE/Calvin Johnson role. I guess you either have rebounding or you don't.

Cooley is TE2 and FB2... had some great blocks (two on the long run down to the 3 yard line by Morris alone).

I know it's probably been said over and over. But I'm really impressed thus far with Alfred Morris. Even though this week was against a converted 3-4.

Alfred Morris, RGIII Make The Most Of Their Time - The Burgundy Warpath

Just wanted to share something from our site. Starting to really like the atmosphere here. Way better than ExtremeSkins.

Great points, hope Davis becomes that kind of reciever. I'm afraid unless Cooley demonstrates he can consistently block well, we'll cut him and keep Paulsen and Paul.

Say what you will about Doughty, all I know is that that was a beautiful open field tackle on that Colts wideout who took it to the 20.

And looks like Good Rex showed up today. I still can't understand why people want to cut him. He'll be expendable when Cousins can take the #2 role, and that won't be for another year minimum. For now let's just hope we never have to see RG3's backup, whomever that is.

Re: Griffin vs luck game day thread

It would save the team like 5 mil or something. So keeping a guy that cost that much and isn't a number one and barely a two doesn't make much sense.

Richard Crawford did not prove he was any more than a one game wonder...it is a shame...he may not make the final squad now....and we needed another CB badly

I'd like to see a completion like Luck's TD pass. That was ridiculous.

Re: Griffin vs luck game day thread

Also...interesting thought.
After 3 games our Rookie QB has thrown....get ready for this ZERO INTERCEPTIONS
When has that ever happened?

In fact, I don't recall any throws that were even close to picks.
That is an AMAZING fact.
As good as Luck is...he is throwing picks, RG3 is not.
His TD to interception ratio was amazing in college, it seems to me to be a trend in his transition to the NFL.
What kills rookie QB's are picks, he's doing awesome so far!

I am frankly shocked about this fact so far, i was a bit skeptical, Luck and RG3 look like legit NFL starters already. I know that is what everyone has been saying, but I wanted to see it to believe it first. All the chatter about these two seems to be coming true.
They are both rock solid! HOORAY!!!

LOL. Rookie 7th round pick plays inconsistent in preseason and people are surprised? He's had 3 preseason games so far, let's give him time to learn and grow before we jump to snap conclusions. If he's still playing like he hasn't learned anything in a couple years then it's safe to judge him.
