We recession veterans Chico, quit crying. Is this the 3rd or 4th in the last 15 years?

I'm sold. I want all my senators to have silencers on their 22's. From now on all disagreements will be settled by duels at dawn.

I’m an optimist but I’m not surprised Senate Democrats held the majority.

Working together, we’ve delivered historic progress for working families.

Americans chose that progress.

Dems hold Senate ... now Biden can place Judicial nominations without too much undue delay.

And if a SC justice or 2 passes away.

All about working with reasonable minded Rs, get some things done.

The Federal Reserve likely will need to push unemployment far higher than its 4.1 percent projection if it is to succeed in bringing inflation down to its 2 percent target by the end of 2024, suggests a paper discussed at the Brookings Papers on Economic Activity (BPEA) conference on September 8.

Dont worry .. Dems and Biden will get all the blame for this global covid inflation/recession and come 2024, just when the sun is starting to peak out ... an R president will take credit for inheriting a growing recovering economy.

Good thing grown ups are in charge for the 4 years when we need grown ups in charge to clean up this covid mess and not people who would just deflect and blame others.

America ... even those red hate filled states ... youre welcome.

Re: 2022 Midterms thread

I've gone back and forth on how I feel about not voting in person. It's 2022, so I can see arguments for why we shouldn't have to show up physically if we don't want to.

But if you're not voting in person, you should have to send in your vote 2 weeks before election day. And those votes should be counted immediately.

This is absolutely absurd waiting for at least 1 week after election day for some results.

And yes, I think election day, should be election long weekend or something. I want everyone to vote once, but I also think it's absurd to have to wait this long for all of the results to be in.

So when the election is over we don't have to wait and wait and wait. It's ridiculous. Send the ballots in earlier and start counting them once they are received. It shouldn't be that difficult to do.

It isn’t like they take office immediately. There is no rush.
