Big questions about his work ethic and “love for the game” per yesterday’s Redskins Talk pod

Hall of Fame won't honor Terrell Owens individually at ceremonies

LOL. Love the response from the HOF, that's a good response since TO had to shit on them after being elected.

I’m with you...eff TO. I can’t believe how petty TO handled the hall of fame thing. Complete jackass

Sick of talking about this guy already, why is he always all about the drama? Just go away.

Agreed. However, I did like this line from the article:

Quote:
Owens' gold jacket, traditionally presented in an elaborate ceremony on Friday night, will be mailed to him first thing Saturday morning, Horrigan said.
I am picturing the HOF guy walking into the post-office and saying "What's the cheapest, slowest way I can have this mailed? No. I don't want it insured."

lol

Re: Around the NFL Post Draft News.

I'm on the other side of this completely. I don't like TO, but he was the dominant receiver in the league for a very long time. He was the cream of the crop and his numbers, performance, and longevity clearly warrant induction.

There were a handful of unelected, unqualified journalists who, despite HOF performance and numbers kept him out because he was a "distraction." They unilaterally create arbitrary requirements beyond performance for entry.

My opinion is F those guys.

Joe Jacoby is a prime example of the HOF voters ignorance and arrogance. They are uniquely unqualified to determine if Jacoby should be in the HOF because they don't have the skill set to judge line play but would never in a million years concede as much.

Literally, the most dominant pass rushers of Jacoby's era, who are in the HOF, were lobbying for him because he was their superior in the game. This made no difference to this arrogant self-rightous lot.

F them.

One of the voters responded to TO's no show by saying he wouldn't have voted him in if he knew he wouldn't appear.

Excuse me, but TO's appearance at the enshrinement ceremony has nothing to do with him being a HOF player but it demonstrates, at it's essence, just how self-important these fat out of shape, self-aggrandizing, cliquish, fan boys are.

I'm glad TO didn't cow tow to them, his performance got him, unlike some players who lobby and kiss A. He doesn't owe them anything.

Re: Around the NFL Post Draft News.

Regardless of the Hall voters TO has shown his true colors yet again. He’s always been all about himself. No doubt his play on the field was top notch, but he was also a selfish showboat and not a great teammate. Three teams decided he wasn’t worth the hassle in the prime years of his career. SF, Philly, and Dallas all moved on from him. So tired of this no class fool.

TO is a bitch. His refusal will only make harder on others following him in to the Hall. He was an ass as a player ,he is an ass in retirement.

This.

DYJ, I have yet to see an argument that says TO's talent isn't HOF worthy. However his attitude, during his playing days and even now, is Hall of Shame worthy. He's the only HOF player to get pissy at them for not being elected first ballot.

Secretly, I can't help but wonder if he decided not to go because he doesn't have many supporters left. He's burned a lot of bridges over the years, maybe his me-first ego turned everybody off and nobody wanted to be his presenter.
