I have to take inventory of our disposable gloves for a shop that has almost 100 mechanics and parts countermen across 2 shifts, because VA wants to know exactly how much PPE every county has in case they need to raid our supply. Thanks 'rona.

They may have toilet paper on 7-8 week back order, but it looks like McMaster Carr has all kinds of disposable gloves if you guys start running short. Not sure if you buy from them, that is where I have gotten shop supplies for over 25 years. Most people get next day delivery for discounted UPS ground rates. Their website is the gold standard.

When your computer updates, and every single thing changes by at least 5%, and it fucks up your universe. I hate updates.

Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?

Today at work, me and coworker need to take turns taking lunch so someone is here for phones etc.

1 pm - I ask my coworker if she wants to go for lunch first. She says yes and is about to head out.

1:30 pm - she still hasnt left, i ask if she is going and she says yes and goes.

2:51 pm - I type on the warpath how she still is not back yet and that I am starving

shes an awesome co worker, awesome person ...im guessing she ran home to see her kids. but dang man. im starving.

This thread goes back to 2007. This is an OG thread. I don't even recognize the name of the creator of the thread.

Things that don't grind my gears: Threads that stand the test of time.

Things that do grind my gears: Not being 23 anymore (when this thread was created).

Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?

I just remember a legendary back and forth between jsarno and schneed10 about gambling. Jsarno allegedly had come up with some sort of way to beat the house at roulette or something. Needless to say schneed10 called him out.

It was the one where you double your previous bet or something if I recall. Like bet 5 on red, then 10, then 20, etc.

Hahaha.

Re: What REALLY grinds your gears?

Im at work. Office building is completely empty. Especially on my floor, the other 3 companies on my floor are all closed. They removed the lounge/entrance area furniture and everything.

I cannot stress how empty this building is.

Go to take a shit ... and I see some dudes legs from the open bottom area of the bathroom stall door. theres a mother fucker in the god damn shitter. where the hell did this dude come from?

With covid and all that, im not taking a hot dump within 2 feet of some other guy so I go to piss and that only made my urge to shit even stronger. I guess its like tetris and you make more room at the bottom, the new stuff moves down the line waiting for its turn.

As long as we are talking bathrooms I never understood dudes that will pick the middle urinal or stall when they are all open, why not use an end one? Probably the same dude that will park right next to you when there are 10 open spaces on either side in a parking lot.
