Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
Yahoo articles are always trash but I clicked on one because it had the headline "5 players WFT may need to trade to get Watson".
Their list: Montez Sweat Landon Collins Matt Ioannidis Brandon Scherff Chase Young https://sports.yahoo.com/5-players-w...044231441.html Yes to Collins and OK to Iaonnidis, but a big HELL NO to Young, Sweat and Scherff.

Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
That's going to depend on the new HC. Does he think he can walk in and solve a QB controversy by turning Wentz around and persuading Hurts his time will come, have a clean break and set Hurts up as the new #1, or even maybe just clear house and bring his own guy in (draft?)? Could very well set himself up for immediate failure if Wentz/Hurts turns into a cat fight and/or Wentz continues to bomb.

Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
It would depends on how much he wants it, how much of his guarantees he is willing to sign away to allow a move, and there is still the lingering locker room issue

Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
Wentz will be back in Philly. He had a bad year. It happens. That doesn't mean you move on from him. Doesn't mean he will continue to play bad. Hit the reset and try and get him to play better. The new coach should come in and squash the QB talk and name Wentz the starter. But also make it clear that guys at all positions are competing.

Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
Really doubt the price for Stafford would get to the level of multiple firsts. Probably more along the lines of what it cost us to get Alex Smith.

Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
Most likely between the two, IMO. Almost certain to cost more than Smith did - the demand is much higher. Look how many teams are in the market. I agree that multiple firsts is probably more than anyone is willing to pay. I've seen a first and a third as being the estimated price multiple times, and that sounds logical to me, given the circumstances.

Quote:
I think something that works to our advantage is that we are an attractive team for a potential QB. Top 5 defense, good offensive weapons (Terry, Gibson, Logan), and should be competitive for the top spot in the NFC East. Also, having RR as our coach is a big plus as well.

Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
We have 2 3rd rounders this year. If our 1st and lower 3rd rounder can close the deal, I'm all for it. That is the absolute maximum tho. Think of Stafford firing that fucking pigskin to McLaurin!! Get 'er done.

Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
Washington is rumored to be in play for Deshaun Watson should he be available for trade, per Jeremy Fowler. An NFC Executive thinks Washington will be involved “in a big way”

Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
Wanna bet it’s because we need a serious upgrade at QB?

Re: WFT Quarterback Thread - Post SEASON 2021
The actual quote is WFT will be involved in the offseason QB sweepstakes "in a big way". So not just Watson.

“I think they will be involved in the QB sweepstakes in a big way,” an NFC exec said. “They know they are close.”
I just read that report too, here: https://washingtonfootballwire.usato...-in-a-big-way/
