Hoyer would be a good signing along w a rookie IMO, but just Hoyer and say Grossman... IDK

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search

If RGIII is not available at 6th trade back into the middle of the 1st round and draft the G Decastro from Stanford then draft Kirk Cousins in the 2nd round to be our Qb. The guy is a winner and a natural leader. Plus we'd also have extra picks to build more depth which is what our team needs to build. HTTR! Also draft Kellen Moore in the 4th if still available.

I love the "Kerigan" trade back idea! The B&G need more of an infusion of talent at every line position as well as QB/LB/OL/DL/DB/S/WR pretty much everywhere! Closer to draft day, all on here will know every potential 1st throught 7th round picks. Will we get an extra 7th for C. Rogers?

Not Tannehill?

Based on everything we are reading here and just a general feeling, I don't really see any chance that Tannehill falls to the 6th pick of the 2nd round. After watching Cousins in the bowl game and YouTubing some videos of him speaking with media, I would be very comfortable with him as the future Skins QB. He has a fairly strong arm plus he shows some mobility, and most of all guys follow him. He will bring the lunch pale to work everyday. Skins need more guys like that.

Anyone who thinks the Browns would not strongly consider RG3 is in the minority. Most Redskins fans who want RG3 realize the Browns are the biggest obstacle. They need to trade up to have any chance of getting him...someone will either take him for themselves or trade the pick long before he gets to #6.

For what it's worth, I spoke with Ourlads' Dan Shonka on the local sports talk radio show call-in period the other day with exactly this question -- what will Mike Holmgren do?

According to Shonka, Holmgren believes that McCoy was best suited for the West Coast offense, and is more likely to spend his draft pick getting help for McCoy, perhaps Blackmon or Matt Kalil.

Just one guy's opinion, of course.

I'd be surprised if Kalil lasts even to #4. Shonka makes a valid point. I think, based on what I had heard they were set on Barkley. With him no longer in play I don't know what they're thinking really. One day it sounds like they want to move on from McCoy, others it sounds like they want to build around him, and yet others it sounds like they want to bring a veteran in and have McCoy sit for a bit

This would be my advice for them. You have him under contract for another two seasons, might as well bump him to number two rather than use him as a sacrificial lamb for your mediocre-at-best offense.

Explains the Jason Campbell to Browns speculation.

Its worth something b/c at least Shonka has legit connections.
The word from the Browns beat reports supports this thought also.

That would certainly be nice. I still think there is no way that we can get him, as some QB needy team will no doubt trade up to a team itching to acquire more picks. The only thing we can really hope for is a terrible combine performance. Otherwise, I'm hitching my wagon to Ryan Tannehill.

That's definitely possible but my real point is that the Redskins need to assume RG3 will be gone by #6 one way or the other. So their plan can not be to draft RG3 at #6. The plan needs to either be to trade up for him or target a different QB. If last years QB plan was really to draft locker at #10 then we all saw how that worked out...

Yeah I don't see any way we end up with RGIII at 6. Also, free agency starts long before the draft, so if we have any interest in a guy like Flynn, we'll have to pull the trigger before we see how the whole Luck/RGII and possibly Sam Bradford scenarios play out. Or maybe we just stay and 6th and reach for a guy like Tannehill... It's going to be a quite a ride.
