Re: Official Redskins Final Cuts Thread
Steve Slaton is a beast! He will flourish in Shanny's system. Remember watching him in WVU and then for the Texans. Always wanted him to be a Redskin, and now it's happen. I'm so excited to see him play.

Perfect fit. He might just be able to regain his old ways. I bet Mike Shanahan can get even more out of him than Kyle if he can stay healthy. I was down about losing Hightower, but getting Slaton more than makes up for it. Is this official yet? I still see that we're "working" on it.

Re: Official Redskins Final Cuts Thread
Would piss myself laughing if they cut Banks after picking up Slaton. Know it won't happen, but that would make my day.

Re: Official Redskins Final Cuts Thread
Actually your right, why keep Banks if Slaton can return kicks? Man I got a freakin headache from this crap. 6 safeties? come on Shanny.

"As of now, that means the Redskins will carry six safeties and four cornerbacks. The Redskins feel comfortable with their secondary though, because safeties Brandon Meriweather, Tanard Jackson and DeJon Gomes all played cornerback in college, which gives them some flexibility at that position."

Just slide Lorenzo Alexander into your missing CB5 spot on the depth chart.

Redskins cut list By John Keim August 31, 2012 | 3:05 pm Here is the Redskins unofficial cut list as of 3 p.m., as verified by numerous media outlets (including this one). They need to get to 53 by 9 p.m. (so they have to cut 22 today; this list contains 18 names): RB Tim Hightower WR Terrence Austin RB Tristan Davis QB Jonathan Crompton C Erik Cook CB Brandyn Thompson CB David Jones OT Tom Compton OT Willie Smith CB Travon Bellamy OL Grant Garner LB Bryan Kehl LB Brian McNally DE Doug Worthington DL Delvin Johnson DL Marlon Favorite LB Donnell Holt FB Dorson Boyce (note: this is not official, but I was told it would be eventually as he has an injury and a settlement is being discussed. He’s a potential practice squader). * * * * * *

I think banks gets one more chance, but if he doesn't return at least 2 then he's gone

Re: Official Redskins Final Cuts Thread
Kinda sad the Hightower experiment is over.
What did we give up for him?
