He may get another chance somewhere i would think. His personal issues not withstanding, I think giving up on him after only two preseason games was premature. He had been out of the NFL since 2010, and i think he needed a few more games to get going...

Thats what the Cboys were discussing down here, talking about cutting Derick Dockery so they wont have to pay him the whole years salary, then picking him up after week one or something like that.

Dwayne Harris is a straight baller. I had the pleasure of watching this guy play for 4 years while here at ECU. Just because you haven't heard about him doesn't mean much. People had never heard of Chris Johnson until he blew up the NFL. The only reason Dwayne Harris didn't get drafted in the 1st round is due to his speed. He simply doesn't have top end speed that many of the NFL WRers have. He's a was a very good return man for us as well.

Not sure why the Colts did this. Not like they are going to compete anytime soon.

Quick, name one of the starting CBs for the colts..............
......

exactly. Vontae is a very solid CB. I don't really think the Dolphins 'won' this trade, sure they have Sean Smith, but now in a division with Brady and the pass happy bills, I think its kinda dumb, then again the dolphins aren't going anywhere great for the next couple of years.

Why can't Indianapolis compete? They have a very good QB, solid targets and a decent defense. I could see them winning 6 or 7

IMO the switch from a 4-3 defense to a 3-4 will hit them hard. Mathis and Freeney are much better with their hands down and they don't have a lot of 3-4 talent besides. I think the Colts will not be very good on defense this year, even with this trade.

This has nothing to do with the point I made. I know their CBs are horrible, but they are STILL going to be horrible with Vontae Davis. Not only that, but they are going to have to pay him major bucks to keep him there. So why spend a prime draft pick and pay a guy big time money for a team that isn't going to be competing for a while? I'm not saying that Davis isn't worth a 2nd round pick, I'm saying that the Colts have too many needs on their team to be making a trade like this.

Decent defense? Colts and "decent defense" aren't really synonymous together. They have great edge rushers and that's about all. They can't stop the run, can't stop the pass, and they'll be having to score a lot of points this year to keep up. They'll be picking in the top 5 again this year. Their only saving grace is they are in a crappy division right now.

Look I was like you a few weeks ago with Indy being a bad team, but after watching Luck play and seeing that their defense is definitely not the worst in the league, I really feel like people are going to underestimate this team, they remind me of the 2008 Falcons when they got Matt Ryan...that team went to the playoffs, which I'm not going to go that far, but they look good enough to win 6-7 games.
