Re: 2012 QB Class
Hey! You may be the King of Queens but don't try to be a Mall Cop around here. Leave that to the mods, we're the Zookeepers of this menagerie...seriously though, I want us to draft a QB but the only bandwagon I've been comfortable saying I would Hitch myself to is Kellen Moore and I know he's not a first rounder.
But really though, welcome to the board. Great to have you here. We're pretty much all Grown Ups here so if you have any Dilemma just PM me or any of the other mods. That's Mattyk (he runs the site and is the admin), myself, GMScud, CrazyCanuck (cap expert), Summo (graphics expert), TheMalcolmConnection, and Gmanc711.

Regardless, this isn't about us. You're the one that made some questionable comments regarding a touchy subject. I'd suggest in the future to be a little more careful around sensitive topics. |

Re: 2012 QB Class
You're welcome. I had never heard of Keenum but apparently he's set to break the record for most career passing yardage set by....... Timmy Chang! From the article it sounds like he does have some upside for the NFL. If Moore were a few inches taller I think he'd be a top 10 pick. Maybe even top 5.

Re: 2012 QB Class
I thought of the same thing SS. But then there's Kevin Kolb... for whatever that's worth.

Re: 2012 QB Class
who isnt anything special. i believed and still believe that if he hadnt gotten injured last year early on and had been their full time starter, the eagles would have been 6-10 or 7-9. he just isnt very good. i never saw what all the nfl/espn hype was about him.

Re: 2012 QB Class
I don't want Case Keenum because he went to Houston. They don't produce good QB's, ever.
(....Now comes all the people on this board who have something to do with Houston who find this statement wrong...lol)

Re: 2012 QB Class
Thanks for all the warm welcomes. I really really hope we finally get a franchise Qb. I know we have a lot of holes but we have to do what it takes to get the right guy. I am about to start driving the RG3 train here. That kid has something special. 80% completion percentage in the Big 12, thats good.

Re: 2012 QB Class
From Walters Football:
Landry "Lance" Jones*, QB, Oklahoma Height: 6-4. Weight: 216. Projected 40 Time: 4.81. Projected Round (2012): Top 15 Pick. 10/21/11: Jones has led Oklahoma to some big wins and huge offensive days. He has improved his play on the road by reducing his interceptions. For the season, Jones has completed 68 percent of his passes for 2,177 yards with 16 touchdowns and six interceptions. He has shown the big-armed pocket presence to be franchise quarterback at the next level. 8/18/11: Jones is a big, strong-armed signal caller. He is adept at dropping back and working through his progressions to find an open receiver. Last year, Jones was able to take advantage of the high caliber of wideouts on the field with him and a strong running game. By the time he enters the draft, Jones should have a lot of experience. When Sam Bradford was injured in 2009, the true freshman Jones was pressed into starting duty and performed well. He completed 58.1 percent of his passes for 3,198 yards, 26 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. In 2010, Jones made big strides as a sophomore when he completed 65 percent of his passes for 4,718 yards with 38 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. Jones should put up some staggering numbers in 2011 with wide receivers Ryan Broyles and Kenny Stills. Putting up big numbers is nothing new for Jones, so leading the Sooners to max out their talent could help his draft status more than anything. If Jones leads Oklahoma to the National Championship game, he could push his stock into the top five of the draft.
