You know the Skins are awful when they start threatening your life.
(Seriously, glad to hear you're ok). |

I say hang on to him and bury him on the depth chart. Put him on the practice squad, treat him like crap until he quits and bows out of his contract.

Not eligible for PS. For all intents and purposes PS is for rookie or 2nd year guys only.

Re: Big Al suspended for the remainder of season
Cannot put a player with Haynesworth's tenure in the NFL on a practice squad. CBA forbids it.

Re: Big Al suspended for the remainder of season
In the end, Haynesworthcouldn't be forced to care
"I've been doing this a long time and one thing you know is you want players committed to your team," Shanahan says. "Playing for each other, and not for themselves. Playing to do the best they can to help the team win. They're all different. Some won't practice when they're feeling bad, and some will. Some will give you everything on every play. And it's my job to make sure to put best team together, people who are committed to each other. The teams I've been on that won Super Bowls, that won championships, they have one thing in common. They knew how to win, and the team was made up of the right people." |

Jim Haslett Takes Turn Criticizing Albert Haynesworth's Work Ethic, Maturity -- NFL FanHouse
"I think Mike made the right decision to make him inactive," Haslett said. "We know over the years, based off what we saw last year in film, when he doesn't practice well or he doesn't show up for Christmas -- -- whatever the situation is -- then he doesn't play well. ... |

Re: Big Al suspended for the remainder of season
thats the weird part and why both parties have to take some form of blame. either they tried to build a case againgst him in an effort to get back some money. or they saw flashes of brilliance from time to time and wanted to make it work, or snyder just didn't sign off on it until he refused to speak with shanahan. either way it was mishandled and mishandled badly. let's just hope it doesn't happen anytime in the near future and try and build a team to be proud of.

Re: Big Al suspended for the remainder of season
after listening to all the initial pressers and releases it's a shame it didn't work out. it we would have stuck with the 4-3 who knows what may or may not have happened. hopfully it will be more than one or two years before we have another issue with a big name fa

Re: Big Al suspended for the remainder of season
For the poll you need to have a selection of:
"Albert Haynesworth should have never been a Redskin problem to begin with" and "I'm glad someone finally took upon themselves to personally slap Snyder's hands and wallet" Getting one super free agent when your fragile team needs a dozen good ones is just moronic.

Re: Big Al suspended for the remainder of season
One would think if you want to build some sort of sympathy for your issues or you side of the arguement, you don't show up acting like a two year old. But I guess finishing like you started is a good thing.
