All I hear about is what a terrible job Biden is doing. Last few years, no matter what was going on JOBS JOBS JOBS trumped everything. No pun intended.

Ill add that Biden isn’t breaking laws by inflating the numbers, because he doesn’t have to. He is actually creating JOBS JOBS JOBS!

Fox News actually did cover the most recent jobs report for February:

https://www.foxbusiness.com/economy/...-what-to-watch

Still got 10.9 million jobs available. People need to get off their asses:

The labor participation rate stood at 62.3% inline with the prior month as Americans return to the workforce after a mass exodus brought on by the coronavirus but have yet to reach prepandemic levels. Open jobs in the U.S. sat at a near-record 10.9 million in January

Definitely good to see the jobs added. I like jobs lol. No matter who is president. I hope to have one for about another 20 years.

Definitely frustrating to see the amount of jobs available that people are refusing to take. Maybe I'll get a 2nd job to help pick up the slack.

Probably some legit reasons why people aren't going back to work, but I know it's more fun to just assume they are lazy bastards.

It's going to take some time. Covid is just loosening it's grip, and a lot of people took advantage of early retirement.

Blue states are finally getting back to work as mandates end, rent subsidies dry up, businesses re-open… it’s a good thing. The unemployment numbers sagged in those states.

Real wages decline and inflation grows. And all the stimulus has dried up.

What I am glad to see (just me personally). Jobs that had been taken by adults that were meant as part time for kids are being filled by kids again. Part time jobs and after school jobs like fast food places or certain jobs in the grocery store's, movie theaters ,it's just nice to see young kids /people out there working. Grandson just had his first match on his High school golf team in NC and the manager of the C.C course asked him and a few of his team mates if they want to caddy,I told him to jump on it.

This is a good website, I need to put this one in my staples. Interesting article on the labor participation rate.

The peak was 67.3% in 2000. I assumed this number would be higher. We're at 62.3% as of the February report. Doesn't sound like much difference, but with how many people we have, that's quite a jump we still need to make.

This is not about Biden, as it has not got back to that rate under anyone since 2000. But that would certainly be the goal imo.

New Startups Break Record in 2021: Unpacking the Numbers
Jan 19, 2022
By Daniel Newman and Kenan Fikri

Key Findings:

Nearly 5.4 million applications were filed to form new businesses in 2021 — the most of any year on record, based on the latest data from Census Bureau’s Business Formation Statistics.
The exceptional pace means there were roughly 1.9 million more business applications in 2021 — a 53 percent increase from 2019 and a notable improvement on that especially strong year for economic performance.
Nearly one-third, or 1.8 million applications, were for likely employer businesses — a subset of total applications capturing those most likely to hire employees if and when a business becomes operational.
Likely employer business applications are up 37 percent over 2019 levels and up 17 percent relative to 2006, the prior peak. Seven of the top 10 highest monthly totals for likely employer filings came last year.
Applications for businesses likely to hire employees rose in every state in 2021, but faster in some parts of the country than others, especially in the Southeast.

Strange thing is one of the few stats not talked about is retirees going back to work(I am one) and the value in the older and experienced worker. Spent 37 years working in Warehousing retired ,four years later I'm back at work for the State of Maryland at an Office job in one of their warehouse's.
