Now he'll have the protection of big defensive tackles Jonathan Allen and Daron Payne keeping blockers off his frame while he runs down ball carriers.

Linebacker wasn't a top-three need on my board for the Commanders, but it was paramount they brought in someone who could handle openings at weak and strongside linebacker, and Luvu has the ability to play all three linebacker spots. Could we see the Commanders use him in ways similar to how Quinn used Micah Parsons in Dallas? His pass-rush traits say it's possible. And at just $12 million per year, he would be signed on a value contract if he produces similar pass-rush numbers in 2024. At that AAV, he's the seventh-highest-paid linebacker, which speaks to his ability and upside in Quinn's defense. -- Miller
Was Parsons ever used in the middle LB position? I don't see the Skins using Luvu as an edge rusher.

CB and T today, please. And maybe S as there is no indication Kurl will return. Worried about the T spot the most.

He started for the niners last year. Absolutely is not camp fodder. Better chance he starts opposite Armstrong than gets cut. At the very least he is a rotational guy.

Legit daylight robbery, was Adam Peters looking that far ahead lol

The Commanders, one could say, effectively swapped nine games of Chase Young for a 2024 3rd round compensatory pick and Clelin Ferrell.

And Adam Peters was on both ends of the not-real swap.

Carry on.

While the Commanders select second in the first round they'll pick fourth in the second while the Cardinals pick third and the Patriots select third.

I see typos like this almost every day. And not from posters, these are published articles from well know (if going out of business in this case) sources.

What ever happened to journalism?

I think the focus was on the Redskins picks which led him to mix up the Pats and Cards picks.

Re: Commanders 2024 Free Agency Thread

We're already up to 8 FA who have agreed to sign with us. This FO was ready to roll when the gun sounded. I am very impressed with the job the Commanders have done so far and there may be more FA to be signed. Wouldn't it be great to have a nearly all BPA draft?
